APPEARANCE: Wearing slim rim glasses covering his blue eyes which hide beneath his black messy hair. Taichi is often seeing wearing a black coat with red trim over his school uniform and while he has this rough look to him he has been describe as a modest student by his teachers. And only when hes not at school or off duty he often wears the green armband on his left arm and often keeps up a smart casual appearance whenever he's outside.

PERSONALITY:

Passionate and Honest:
Taichi is often passionate and honest about his aims in anything he does in life. This conviction has let others to trust him as he always act like an open book, but this doesn't mean he doesn't have a pretty good poker face. However his honesty is often fuelled by his passion to do the right thing. Often getting him into trouble with his branch chef and collogues for his outspoken behaviour as he is never afraid to voice his opinions.

But even though it's rare Taichi understands when its best to shut up and that more often than comes to a surprise as his collogues expect him to speak up.

Iron Will:
No matter how tough it gets Taichi doesn't give up on his goals. Showing a strong determination to step forward against the overwhelming odds he does his best to come out on top. This was the same will which allowed him to overcome challengers in his life and that includes passing the various exams to become a Judgement member.

He was once quick to anger and start a fight with delinquents but his self control shown since joining Judgement is a testament to his will.

Hard Worker:
Taichi despite his negative traits is in the end a very hard worker. Dedicated to his role he is willing to put full effort in everything he has done making him a pretty good student and Judgement member. Even at things he has no skill or ability with he tends to work hard at it until he gets an acceptable result even if its an inconvenience.

Not a morning Person:
Taichi has never been a morning person and that has often been the biggest downer about being a Judgement member. It was bad enough he had to get up early for school, but sometimes he's required to get up even earlier for Judgement duties. As a result he can be very grumpy in the morning, but sometimes that can be completely avoided when a girl offers him food.

Restraint:
Once Taichi was a reckless individual who jumped head on into fights, this is because his passion to help out often results in all out brawls. But now being part of Judgement he no longer seeks out a fight with rule breakers, but to 'restrain' them and bring them to justice according to the law which Judgement upholds. But there are times when the situation calls for Taichi to fight for real and that could vary depending on the situation only when given permission by his superiors. And for this reasons a nick name has spread among the many delinquents who has crossed Taichi's path.

'Judgement's Attack Dog'

It's important to note that Taichi is still rough around the edges and by no means is it impossible to spur him to anger.

Dense:
Basically Taichi is rather dense and not the most intelligent Judgement member. He isn't just dense to the feelings of girls, but to the things that really don't spur his interest. Because of his passion to help others and do that right thing he often forgets about himself. Those two personality traits are what really drives his inability to not realise the effects of his esper ability. Another reason for his inability to notice is probably because deep down Taichi has accepted he has no talent for an esper ability and no longer considered it important so he can focus on other things.

HISTORY: Born too a low-class family, the parents of Taichi and Rin weren't exactly what would you call the ideal parents. Choosing their own finical wealth over raising a family, Taichi at the age of three was abandoned with his sister on the door step of an Orphanage in Kyoto. This resulted in the siblings to spend a reasonable amount of their childhood in care together until he was fostered along with his sister at eight years old.

The foster parents were also a low-class family, but despite this they seemed quite the opposite of their real parents and valued family over personal wealth. They were nice and caring always putting their needs first before their own. This earned the love and respect from both of the siblings, giving them the desire to one day pay them back for their kindness. The only down side was they didn't always have the most personal time since both foster parents ended up working all the time. Which left Rin once again bringing up her own brother, though both understand the reason why the lack of an adult role-model would have a profound effect on both of them.

At the age of twelve Taichi along with his sister had entered Academy City, the foster parents saw this the best chance to give them the best education possible which were within their ability to provide. But for some reason Rin Oda had disappeared not long after entering Academy city leaving her brother estranged in this strange new place.  All the while not knowing this is when Rin became estranged into the darkness of the city.

There isn't really a defining reason why Taichi seems like an outspoken character with the tendency to lose his cool to fight delinquents. But maybe it was because of the lack of role models in his life that no one taught him proper self control. To tell him when to say no and when enough is enough. But what he truly learned was the ability to work hard and to pay back those who had helped him.

Which was further encouraged by his lack of ability making him to work harder despite feeling like a talentless hack with no power. But one of those who did help him was one of his teachers in middle school, who noticed that all the times he had gotten into trouble by getting into fights. That was only because he was fighting to protect someone else from the delinquents and didn't know any other way to solve the issue without violence. He also recognised that Taichi was a modest student who worked hard when he was gave a task and because of this he was introduced to Judgement on the teacher's advice.

Two years later and now in the third year of middle school he often keeps a close eye on his fellow students. Helping them when they're in need without staying around to take any credit. He also help his fellow judgement member who he hadn't had a proper conversation with but he often pick up the slack when she isn't able to perform her duties for some reason or forgets something to ensure she doesn't get into trouble. This isn't because of any special feelings, but because he sees his fellow judgement members as friends and doesn't want to see them fail. Though despite his life turning around for the better he remains to be outspoken with an honest nature. This is only when he feels the rules have gotten in the way of the right thing, so he isn't afraid to voice his disagreements with his superiors.

And while he can be a bit rough with his rough personality, the boy's focus on being there for others and doing the right thing is down to his lack of relationship with his sister. And as time continues to move this sparks a feeling of wanting to know what happened with his sister.

Auto-Rebirth: A Pseudo healing ability which generates a weak membrane over wounds to stop the bleeding, this isn't an absolute factor and has an equal chance to fail as much as it can succeed. It's important to note that this ability doesn't save him from experiencing the pain involved or from suffering other wounds like broken bones and fractures. Though it has an uncanny effect to increase the healing time of small cuts and bruises by a slight margin. But because the margin is small it's hardly noticeable, but makes it's even more harder for an already dense Taichi to acknowledge the existence of this ability.

OTHER ABILITIES:

Judgement Training
Taichi has gone through and past the required tests to become a judgement member, which involves physical training and self defence. This means he is also knowledgeable in take down techniques to use in self defence or to restrain a target. He also has knowledge of equipment used by Judgement and situational responses like every other member.
Street Brawler
Because of his past recklessness Taichi is pretty good at street brawls. Often fighting numerous delinquents in the past and when its called for during his judgement duties. He has the understanding and skill to survive a brutal street fight where there are no rules. And as such he is often good surviving in a rough environment of Academy's cities back streets.
Poker Face
Despite being an open book most of the time, Taichi truly has a remarkable poker face and has allowed him to become really good at card games. But if needed to give people an intimidating glare or an expression he needs for the current situation. It's one of the reason why he is often called into questioning to play bad cop.

INFORMATION: I would like him to one day find out about what happened to his sister, but since that involves the dark side I thought it was best to leave it up to the Moderators to help get to this goal sometime in the future. Unfortunately I didn’t have much time to invest into this evaluation, so it is very likely for me to stumble upon issues within the next steps.

To go further, did they actually send away the children shortly after adopting them? What purpose was there in adopting them to begin with, if all they would do is moving them to a better place immediately after?
I’d also like to have some insight on the age of the two when all of this happened.

How does he behave now that he is a member of Judgement? Does he still get into trouble or has he changed to live according to at least some of the rules?

He doesn’t know that he has any form of ability, as not even the System Scan itself would take notice of anything in particular and so does he. Now I do wonder how one doesn’t notice the healing effect in larger wounds - you hinted that his ability could very well heal those over time.

Please give me information on how large the wounds are that can be healed and insight on the time it would take for the effects to kick in and until the completion of the recovery.

You would but that's not the case here at all. The wealth bracket between the original parents and foster parents was the same. But it was more down to the type of people they where in this case. I should of explained this better, but the original parents was more selfish and choose personal wealth over raising a family. And for that reason they didn't want to raise their children and so abandoned them. (This happens a lot in the UK)

Even low-class families I recall can foster, they have the money for it as you see many children end up well with low class family backgrounds. Even in the UK I know at least one couple who considered low class raising two healthy foster children with no issues. They only suffer down to barely spending money on themselves as they ensure the foster children are fed and clothed foremost.  

I will reflect this more much in an updated history, with changes highlighted in bold.

They didn't send them straight after adopting them. This was just me not thinking about mentioning age, the changes are reflected in Bold so they stand out for you to read.

Basically this...

Academy city: 12 years Rin: 15 years

Up until entering Academy city, Rin is the only one who did most of the parenting for Taichi so you can imagine how that went lol.

Just to further add age wise to events.
I would probably be 6 months until the teacher introduced Taichi to judgement, hoping to avoid him to further fall into the wrong crowd. And so it would fall in line with him being in Judgement until his third year of middle school as he joined in his first.

How does he behave now that he is a member of Judgement? Does he still get into trouble or has he changed to live according to at least some of the rules?

 
He behaves much better and I think you should consider Taichi more of a trained attack dog now while in Judgement. Before joining when he got into fights he went to actually beat up the person, now he is in judgement if he does get into a fight he doesn't aim to beat the person up. He aims to restraint the target if possible.

I'll add this in much better detail in personality section, since I do think it's required. Since he's better but still rough round the edges.

Basically he's dense as I don't want this character to be like Rin or Alexander who are considered the smart end of the intelligence scale. I also wanted him to not know since I'll imagine it would be amusing that he doesn't realise while others clearly do that he has some ability.

But the truth would be not only is he dense to these things, but he believes he has no talent as an esper and that is probably what is making him blind. I would consider this a character flaw and something which another pc could address in the future if they like but this is something I would like to keep for him.

Please give me information on how large the wounds are that can be healed and insight on the time it would take for the effects to kick in and until the completion of the recovery.

This may need to be discussed as I'm basing this soley on Tushmikado's ability since well it is his esper power. According to his wiki page which I will link here for your connivance. I'll post the following in spoiler just because it involves discussing the events of LN vol 4.

Good question really and this is assuming they're all people with no esper ability. Also no highly trained combat experts. And considering his experience in street brawls and the training from judgement with take-down techniques maybe he can win a fight against three other people with out a problem. Any more people it would be a downward spiral to eventually being overwhelmed by numbers without back up.

I edited his height and weight to give him more of a physical advantage in an fight to make it seem more realistic. As my father always use to tell me you should put weight behind your punches to drive your victory home. Lol my father watched too much boxing.

I’d be happy of you kept in mind the fact that Judgement isn’t really about the fighting of criminals or delinquents and more about helping society out as a whole, doing the small things most of the time, not really seeking combat. Anti-Skill wouldn't enjoy students getting hurt.

II. Ability
Actually if you were truly going with the ability of Tsuchimikado Motoharu, I should clear a slight misunderstanding you might be having there: All Auto-Rebirth does is occasionally fixing his blood vessels, stopping the bleeding, making it quite the joker for him. This is because the wounds occurring to Espers using Magic, is the simple bursting of their blood vessels, nothing beyond. So all of those life threatening wounds he received and healed using Auto-Rebirth are bursted blood vessels, that were closed by a membrane generated by it.

Considering this I would suggest that the ability really only stopped the bleedings from wounds, on a 50% chance, saving his life but letting him suffer other sorts of injuries like broken bones to their fullest (I do believe Academy City has the technology leading to quick recovery anyway, though). Maybe it could also extent so increasing the healing time for ordinary wounds, like general cuts or bruises by a slight margin (like 1.20x the time it’d usually take). This would underline the fact that he wouldn't grow aware of his own ability, since it’d be unnatural yet nothing too noticeable unless it is really pointed out to him by others.

Lastly, I do believe that Tsuchimikado seeming quite healthy the next day, might be the work of Magic, since healing spells are quite a thing, as we have seen in Volume 1/the first Arc or the Himegami incident during Daihaseisai.

I have and is the entire point of him joining Judgement. The teacher wanted him to channel his energy else where rather than falling into the wrong crowd. It's also why in the test post he uses his poker face to scare the delinquents away rather than fighting them and even afterwards he still hates the fact he had to resort to scaring them. Taking advantage of his supposed reputation.

Though to be fair he is weak in the mornings and his hard working trait is often shown throughout his judgement duties. Including his habit of helping other members.

Thanks for clearing up the misunderstanding. I really don't care about an almighty healing ability, so the fact it just stops bleeding also works none the same. And I do like the uncanny side effect of this ability by actually increasing the time it heals cuts and bruises so I'll add that in.

Noted and I actually thought about this doing a bit of looking up. It seems that the average height for young Japanese males was indeed my original number of 5'7. Well according to these results from 2013.

So I thought I'll compromise and actually make him 5'6.
