Science Side SS Concept: Game Freaks

It is the day of release of the most anticipated video game in... well, at least the past seven days. However, within hours of the servers being online, impossible characters appeared. Characters with levels, stats, and equipment that are simply impossible to have attained in such a short period. In a word, hackers. Now, this would not normally be an unusual occurrence- Such things happen, after all. However, a rumor has spread within Academy City that these are no average hackers- They're fellow Academy City students, using their powers to aid in their illicit activities.

And so the witch hunt begins. In this thread, the goal is tripartite: First, determine the veracity of these rumours. Second, should they prove true, locate the guilty party. And finally, convince the filthy cheaters to recant their ways through any means necessary.

This thread may or may not have been inspired by Hakkun talking about people who cheat in Pokemon games. Additionally, I would like for the thread to have a co-GM, as I am completely inexperienced in the art of GMing.
