APPEARANCE: Kakira has short wavy hair, usually unstyled and messy, though it is rarely seen oily, as he always takes time to wash it well-even if it means getting late. Though he often wears glasses he can see alright without them, and can wear lenses, but prefers how he looks with glasses on. In addition, he can usually be found in his school uniform, or a button-up shirt and black leggings, whether they are jeans, shorts, etc. His overall body type is on the lean side, though not severely lacking in muscle. He has long limbs, especially his legs.

Temper Control:
Kakira will rarely ever get mad, especially in his mundane day-to-day life. Even when someone acts rude to him, he can maintain a smile and get the situation over with quickly. However, he does make irritated comments, which is usually jokingly or exasperation.
Careful:
Kakira doesn’t take unnecessary risks, and doesn’t usually indulge in reckless acts. The only exceptions is when someone leads him on, or there is a good reason to attempt it.
No to No-s:
Kakira can’t often refuse an offer or something asked of him, and tries to do it-even if it contradicts something he was already doing, in which he racks his brain for a way to do both.
Careful Listener:
Often more quiet than talkative, Kakira doesn’t mind people leading a conversation, and will listen to what they have to say in earnest.
Power-hungry:
Kakira has a big thing for his ability, and enjoys testing it out, finding new uses for it. He doesn’t aim for being a level 5-but he still likes researching potential applications of his ability, usually non-combat. Though this trait has been lessened as of late.


LIKES:
Microwaved burritos, his favorite food. He enjoys going on runs, often seen jogging around the city. He has a fondness for classical mystery novels, and enjoys reading as a whole. His favorite subject, oddly, is philosophy, though mostly self-taught.
DISLIKES:
Despite liking most aspects of literature, Kakira dislikes teen romance-perhaps it’s because he never got to experience dating, or maybe it’s because he finds it below his attention. Even he doesn’t know fully. He also dislikes seeing people use loopholes, and try asserting dominance over others.
STRENGTHS:
Kakira has expertise in Karate, though he doesn’t actively seek to use it on anyone. As such, his body is well balanced physically. He also has a quick mind for logic(like logic puzzles), and enjoys it.
WEAKNESSES:
Lack of experience in actual combat, as well as a tendency to overlook small, but important details that he tends to forget at the worst of times. He also has a relatively weak heart, finding it hard to hurt others.



HISTORY:  Kakira went to Academy City a tad bit late, arriving just in time for middle school. His late start was majorly factored by his apparent interest and genius in science(though he was still only in elementary school, expectations weren’t too high), so he was ushered in by his parents, who hoped he would grow to be a scientist that surpassed themselves(his mother a chemist, his father an engineer). However, Kakira’s interest quickly deteriorated from studying, for a very simple reason.

His ability. Though he didn’t know whether he would have one-nor did he care, he still found it intriguing that he had an esperion ability nonetheless when he found out. After all, he was still a child, and time he should spend studying was instead ‘wasted’ on trying to hone his abilities to something powerful. His thought process at the time was tinted by the idea of superheroes, level 4s and above performing supreme feats-something that his childish mind enjoyed a lot. His grades suffered, and as he argued often over the phone with his parents(and apologizing right afterwards) Kakira found a need to set a vision for his future.

And with that he went into a fairly normal high school, where he decides that he’s going to cut down on the power training fantasies, and focus more on actual studies-and be a more responsible person for his own life. Though how long that’ll last remains to be seen…

Microwave Emitter:
Kakira can project microwaves from his skin, though he prefers his hands due to the ease of aiming the waves. Microwaves have a maximum radius of 8 meters around him before the focused wave becomes unfocused. While he has resistance to heat, extensive usage(usually after 5 seconds of continued use) is capable of bursting open his skin.
Usage:
Heat Wave: Concentrating the waves on an entity Kakira can heat it up(which he primarily uses to heat up burritos). Used on humans, the specific effects vary, but they will feel an intolerable amount of heat at most(this being due to Kakira's own cap on using microwaves, to cause extensive damage he would get damaged first. In addition it needs the opponent to keep completely still while the waves affect them).
Radar: Pretty self-explanatory. Concentrating, small emissions of microwaves let him sense things within the 10-meter radius.
Communication Block: Focusing microwaves on a single communication device, the device can be unable to recieve outer signals.
Particle Acceleration(Available after level 4): Creating a particle beam using wavelengths, Kakira can shoot a fairly deadly beam of energy, similar to the Railgun ability except the charge-up time is much longer.

Kakira has a small expertise in Karate, though not enough to fight anyone with moderate skill.

Though usually restricted to microwaving food only, sadly.

From his father Kakira caught up a couple arts of the trade for fixing machinery, so he can do better than just slamming it in the head.

Though not a combat expert Kakira has good reflexes, partially due to his radar he constantly has around him.
Long-term Storage:
Kakira has great long-term memory, being able to recall details-though what he remembers isn’t always consistent. But when it sticks, it sticks for a while!

With a soft jingle, and a muttered word of thanks Kakira left the convenience store.

In his hand was a frozen burrito, which, much to his sadness wasn't found everywhere in Academy City-instead they had things like strawberry udon. When he first encountered that food he found it...unappetizing at best. He picked up pace, wanting to get back in before curfew and stepped inside an alleyway. With a small sigh he closed his eyes, focusing as he felt a hum of heat spread through his arm. From his hand, he knew, microwaves were being shot out, vibrating the water molecules and heating up the tasty morsel in his grasp. He opened his eyes when his hand felt like it was going to burst from its own heat-which was partially because his hand couldn't handle that much heat, and because the burrito was now steaming hot, ready to be eaten.

When he did, however, he blinked, confused at being surrounded by four men. They all looked like ruffians, and it didn't take much thought to figure out who they were.

"Skill Out?" Kakira asked with a small frown, though right after he figured that maybe saying that in their face might not have been a very diplomatic tactic. He held the burrito awkwardly in his hand, unsure whether he should casually take a bite or take a run for it. He actually liked the second option, except he was surrounded. One of the males, one with a short stubble on his chin leaned in. "Damn right kid. What're you doing out here on your own? You might encounter scary adults~"

As the others smiled leeringly at him, Kakira weighed his chances. He would rather avoid a fight, but at the moment it seemed that he was going to be mauled if he just stood there. Though he have heard how females were assaulted in the streets, he was fairly certain that that wasn't their intention-something he found heavily relieving. It also made a pang of anger in his chest, and his expression darkened just a bit.

It seemed that the four saw that as a sign of anger at them or something. Well, they weren't wrong. "Hey, speak up." one of them said, and pushed him on the shoulder. It made him back up, backing into the one standing behind him. Quicker than he could react(though he later assumed that it was still quite slow to a standards of an expert fighter-maybe he should join Judgement just for their training) his arms were grabbed, his burrito falling to the ground as he was dragged up. Kakira let out a confused, and angry shout, and lashed out on instinct. The lash hit one of the others successfully, but only managed to anger them further.

"Hey, I think he needs a beating." stubble guy said, and the one holding him grunted in a yes, he assumed. Kakira sighed inwardly. Looks like he can't manage this one peacefully. His hand twisted and grabbed at the arms grabbing him, and the others laughed at his pitiful attempt. The arms were nearly twice as thick as his. He let them laugh, an struggled for show. The one holding him was the first one that found out something odd.

He let go with a shout of pain, the skin where Kakira held being red and raw. Kakira dove to the floor and grabbed the burrito, and threw it at the nearest one, who was about to react and grab him again. He stood up quickly and pointed his hand at the other two. "Don't move, unless you want to be burned."

They looked at each other. Fighting someone with an ability was probably low in their to-do list. He just had to play his cards right now. He shifted his aim slightly to stubble guy, and focused the beam, causing the man to wince and cry out, his hands on his eyes. Eyeballs, being liquid were more susceptible for his microwaves. When the other guy quickly turned to his mate to see what was wrong, Kakira ran off, twisting between corners to ensure he lost them.

A few minutes later, he was in front of his dorm, panting as he unlocked the front door.

"Damn-" *pant* "You-" *pant* "That was my dinner you idiots-"

The only thing of concern might be the mixture of martial arts, smartness, and an Esper ability. But it seems that each of those stands at a pretty balanced level as opposed to true mastery, all is cool ✩
