[SS]Here we go...again?

"Okay...going to need this, and this..." Toshiro said to himself silently as he picked up items in the convenience store. He had to buy some groceries for himself, mainly some snacks, and bottled water. What he needed those things for were something simple. Snacks to help with hunger when he wanted to do parkor, water to either drink for himself or make obstacles of ice with. He did not want to start getting flabby from what his family was having him eat at home.

After paying for his groceries, he left the convenience store, happy that he grabbed all that he needed. Now all that was left to do now was to find a nice little open area that no one was using. As he walked along a young cat caught his eye, he bent over to pet it a little bit before going on his way. What was he going to run into he wondered, then he saw something that he wanted to avoid. The backs of the small gang of thugs that he had run into a week ago. He took a quick detour to the right just incase one of them turned around, one annoying problem avoided hopefully for the rest of the day.

A nice breeze flowed through Kohaku's hair as she walked down the streets on a nice day in the middle of summer vacation. With a crepe in her hand, she hummed in the breaks in between when her mouth had the sweet food in it.

The mouse for her desktop computer in her dormitory had died for some reason so Kohaku needed to get her hands on a new one. As such, she ended up leisurely walking outside hoping to find some computer store. Her laptop was still a viable option but she much preferred to use a desktop at home.

As she went further down, she ended up finding an alley that would be a pretty useful shortcut. So, she made a turn and walked into it. As she kept going, she decided to break into a brisk walk, she turned a corner only to end up colliding with a boy coming to that corner.

"KYAAH!" The girl exclaimed as she fell back straight onto her butt while her crepe flew out of her hand.

"KYAHH!"

A scream. In the middle of District 13! Sounded like a person in trouble... Or not? But; There was no way a self-proclaimed hero like her could just walk away after hearing a scream! A young girl with brown hair wearing a school uniform (even though it was in the middle of summer vacation...) seemed to appear out of thin air!

"Huh! I see! Looks like I appeared at the right time again!"

The look on her face was fierce... but she seemed to totally misunderstand the situation, as she stared at the girl on the ground. And this brown-haired guy in front of her...

"Don't worry, citizen!" She said to the silver-haired girl and smiled. Mirai positioned herself in front of her to face the young boy with a grin. "I will just intimidate him into submission with my Level 6 Guts!"

As Toshiro reached a corner suddenly he was bumped, effectively knocking on his rear end as a scream reached his ears. Movement from the crepe that left the girl's hand caught his eye, he quickly rose to a crawl trying for a emergency catch. He barely managed to grab on to the crepe, surprising as it was for him to have that quick of a reaction. But... there was one fairly big problem, scratch that immense problem. His left hand was planted on the girl's breast, well at least he did n~. Toshiro thought before he felt left hand squeeze breast. Great...

"Uh...sorry...are you okay? Please don't scream again." Toshiro said blushing slightly as he removed his hand from her breast. Then he heard another voice talking about guts, before he could look over to the side a girl, the owner of the voice moved in front of him. "Ah...crap. Look it isn't as it looks like." He said trying to explain the accident, but something told him that something else was going to go wrong. Though he did not notice the other teen that was nearby.

As soon as she opened her eyes after recovering from her fall, the first thing she saw was that the brown-haired boy had seemed to catch her crepe. She would have sighed out of relief about the fact that here crepe was rescued from the possibility of becoming wasted food if not for the weird feeling she noticed in her chest at the next moment. As she looked down to the location of that sensation, she noticed that the boy's left hand seemed to have landed perfectly around her right breast. Once that had registered, she felt a squeeze in said breast.

Kohaku honestly could not say that the feeling of her breast being squeezed was a bad feeling but even she could tell how awkward the entire situation was. Still, it seemed that the boy had realized this and gotten off of her. "Uh...sorry...are you okay? Please don't scream again."

Kohaku got herself off the floor and patted a bit of dust off her body. But, before she could respond, she heard an enthusiastic shout. "Don't worry, citizen! I will just intimidate him into submission with my Level 6 Guts!"

"Ah...crap. Look it isn't as it looks like."

"Wait. I just bumped into him and we fell over. That's all. He isn't attacking me or anything…although he did squeeze my breasts." She began to ponder for a second. "Then again, I really don't see what's so problematic about that. When it comes down to it, breasts are merely nothing more than mammary glands, ducts, and layers of adipose tissue over the pectoralis major muscle." She crossed her arms and put her a finger to her chin. It was at that moment that anyone who knew her would try and stop her. After all, she had just descended into full medical nut mode and her ramblings could go on forever. "In the end, they're nothing more than mere erogenous zones until pregnancy. I guess that could be it. There's also the fact that repeated squeezing of them can stimulate oxytocin and prolactin release which can lead to..."

"Ah...crap. Look it isn't as it looks like."

The telepath wasn't convinced at all, as the look on her face could tell. She raised her eyebrows a bit skeptical, with her arms crossed in front of her chest. "Enough of your gutless excuses! I will just-..."
However, the silver-haired girl behind her started to raise her voice and Mirai turned to the 'victim' with a puzzled expression. "Ha?"

Mirai just stared at her silently, while she delivered a lecture about... breasts? However... the middle-schooler looked rather interested in what she had to say. With a blank look, she always nodded after the older girl ended another sentence... … Wait! This was not the right moment for a biology-lesson!

“Anyway!” She suddenly said a little bit confused, blinked, and turned to the brown-haired boy again. She smiled, and said (now with a more gentle voice): “Looks like I made a mistake, ahahaha~... Sorry.” She shrugged with her shoulders. “But you have to admit: It looked rather suspicious, hahaha!”  She stopped to laugh for a moment. “...And you still look like a perv to me...” She said in a quiet voice, but quickly changed the subject while grinning and doing a strange pose:

“You know! Academy City can be really dangerous at times! That's why it's important to look out for other people! It's just the gutsy thing to do!”

A light breeze brushed Takashi's shoulders as he sighed. "What a day..." As he walked along, he was staring at the ground when he heard what sounded like yelling. Concerned, he ran towards the source. There, he found three people in what seemed like a conflict. One of the three was a boy that seemed to be around his height with light brown hair, black cargo pants, and a hoodie. Another was a girl also around his height with silver hair tied into two braids. She was wearing a long sleeved shirt with jeans and seemed to be talking about breasts. As he listened in on their conversation, he thought to himself, "Odd...what could have ever lead to a conversation like tha-"


"You know! Academy City can be really dangerous at times! That's why it's important to look out for other people! It's just the gutsy thing to do!"


That word stuck in his mind. "Gutsy". Who in the world did he remember saying that? He looked at the third person and found his answer. Standing in front of the boy, Takashi saw Mirai, energetic as ever. A smile spanned across his face and he walked towards the group while tightening the scarf around his neck.


"Looks like we meet again, old friend, and it seems that you are as energetic as I remember," he said as he crossed his arms. He thought to himself, "I'm curious if she remembers me. I guess I'm about to find out..."

As another guy approached the bumbling girl, Gunha quickly took the initiative to approach the female "victim" of the accident. Guts is also knowing when to apologize, so the girl at least has it. The more pressing matter was the one spewing irrelevant facts everywhere just to describe what was happening.

"Excuse me, miss, but just because 'it's just an erogenous zone' doesn't mean one should go around ignoring it's significance. You got guts not screaming and calling the other guy a pervert on first contact, but a lass like you needs to be more delicate about these things, okay?"

Basic chivalric spirit was chastising the lady to be a lady. Sure, he's barely ever done it (or had to do it for that matter) since society in Academy City is generally conservative. Scratch that, society in Japan is generally conservative. He didn't have anything against tomboys, though, so he left them alone as long as their behaviour wasn't that of delinquents.

"Also, induced lactation is only going to be a messy affair. It doesn't take experience or deep knowledge to know that."

Granted, induced lactation through stimulus was only a theory and even then mostly referred to sucking stimulation, but Gunha didn't know that. All he really meant to do was to assert that no injustice was going on.

Toshiro did not like the look in this justice enthusiast's eyes, she was likely to try to beat the living crap out of him. That was until the girl that he accidently had his hand on her breast spoke up, he let out a sigh of relief...then she started spouting off facts about breasts, and their functions or something. That along with other facts that he would of rather not known about until he was married, and starting a family of his own. After she said everything two other people joined them, a black haired teen, and a brown haired teen who was around his height. "A-Agreed, then again I am a little relieved that she did not scream out pervert...that would lead to bigger problems." Toshiro said agreeing with the black haired teen.

"Well I hope that clears up any... problems, hopefully that does not happen ever again." Toshiro said looking away a deeper blush showing on his face. He looked towards the brown haired teen that had also joined, raising his brows after he heard him talking to the girl that had mistaken him for a pervert. Looks like they know each other. I hope that is she is only energetic He thought to himself as he looked around at the group they turned into.

It was the sound of the brown-haired girl with the love for guts interrupting with her interjection that seemed to snap Kohaku out of it before she could get any further into her rant. However, as a few things seemed to be happening around the brown-haired girl, a teenager with spiky black hair reminiscent of a shonen manga hero also entered the area.

"Excuse me, miss, but just because 'it's just an erogenous zone' doesn't mean one should go around ignoring it's significance. You got guts not screaming and calling the other guy a pervert on first contact, but a lass like you needs to be more delicate about these things, okay?"

"Yeah, I kind of went on a rant there didn't I. It's a habit. If I touch on any anatomy or physiology topic, I tend to go on a rant. Not to mention delicacy doesn't seem to be my thing. I'm often told I'm tactless."

"Also, induced lactation is only going to be a messy affair. It doesn't take experience or deep knowledge to know that."

Kohaku blushed as soon as she realized what her rant had been leading to. "Wow. I'm kinda glad I got interrupted there before I went any further. That would have been really tactless."

"A-Agreed, then again I am a little relieved that she did not scream out pervert...that would lead to bigger problems. Well I hope that clears up any... problems, hopefully that does not happen ever again."


Kohaku turned back to the boy who she had bumped into earlier and saw him blushing. She had no idea whether it was from the accidental pervert moment or the rant she gave but even she knew that she had to change the topic before things became way too awkward. "Let me introduce myself then. My name is Kira Kohaku. As you saw earlier, I have a bit of a love for medicine and physiology. It kind of leads to me discharging large amounts of information at times…" Kohaku then paused for a second and realized something. At that moment, the pitch in her voice lowered. "Mika's discharge party is today. I haven't gotten her present yet!" She grabbed at the bridge of her nose and pinched out of annoyance.

Mirai wanted to teach them about the philosophy of "GUTS", but was suddenly interrupted by a certain aerokinesist approaching her. She looked up and started to smile in a friendly way, because she remembered this brown-haired boy with the scarf. ""Ahhh~! How nice! Fancy meeting you here... uh..." The girl stared at him for a moment and looked like she was pondering.

"...Miyakami-san."

She nodded and continued to talk: "Did you meet Kazuki-san again? I lost his business card and...-"

"...You got guts not screaming and calling the other guy a pervert on first contact, but a lass like you needs to be more delicate about these things, okay?"


Mirai stopped for a moment. This voice... The telepath turned away from the brown-haired guy, completely distracted. She would always recognize this strong, gutsy voice. Always. The sound of his voice was still echoing in her head after all that time... A cape, a headband, spiky hair... She had to grin uncontrollably, and stared at him with a blank look in her eyes. Without hesitation, though, she approached him!

"I would never lactate in front of others, Sogiita-san!!!"  She said loudly, unaware of the other persons around. But as she stood in front of him, so close, she suddenly seemed to get nervous. Her face turned red and she looked away from the Level 5-esper, with her hands on her hot cheeks. She started to wiggle with her body a bit.

"Oh no.. I went and opened my mouth... I never thought ... what should I do...? I'm soo excited...”

Mirai murmured. She looked pretty shy, in contrary to her usual behavior...It was kind of hard to come up with something to talk about.
"I bet...!”  She started, a little bit louder. "I bet you're here to patrol this area right now! There is so much trouble lately in this district! I'm always here to lead the gutless back on the right path!”

"I would never lactate in front of others, Sogita-san!!!" Mirai yelled this out of seemingly nowhere before blushing, looking away from the newcomer, and putting her hands on her cheeks. Takashi blinked in surprise at two facts. One was that Mirai had mispronounced his name as "Miyakami" and not "Murakami". The other was that Mirai had blurted this completely random statement. "I'm not sure whether to be concerned or simply surprised." Takashi simply stood there for a time and thought about how to actually reply to the random statement. 

After a few seconds of awkward silence, Takashi broke the silence by saying "I'm not entirely sure when lactating became an issue, but it was an...interesting turn of events." Not wanting to put anymore pressure on Mirai as she is clearly embarrassed enough, he turned to the other people involved. "What I am mostly curious about is how this conflict began. I arrived when this lady" he gestured towards the silver haired girl that was on the ground in front of the brown haired boy and Mirai, "was on the ground and that she was ranting about...breasts, I think." After asking about the conflict, he adjusted his scarf one last time then crossed his arms. While he was curious about how this all began, he also slightly nervous that it may be a lot deeper than he had originally thought. "Well," he thought. "I guess there isn't any going back. I've already asked, so I might as well stick with it."

"Tachibana Toshiro nice to meet you." Toshiro said introducing himself to Kohaku. Well at least this turned out somewhat normal. "Huh you forgot a present for a friend?" He was said before 'Guts' girl suddenly shouted out about never lactating in front of others, the sudden announcement brought him to blush again. This girl has to be very, very careful and think about what she's going to say next.

"Yeah...stick around we'll have company, company I would rather avoid. Already ticked off one group of thugs. I'll go into details a little later." He said after hearing 'Guts' girl talking about bringing the gutless, before turning to look at the brown haired teen that had arrived. "Long story short we bumped into each other her crepe went into the air, I caught it without realizing I put my hand on her breast and squeezed. So...yeah." He explained to the brown haired teen that was wearing a scarf.

"I see, so your one of the Level 5 this city has." He said turning to the black haired teen to get a look at his face so he could put a face to the name. "So you are in this area due Kohaku's scream, but decided to observe to prevent any misunderstandings correct? Thank you for not jumping the gun." He said to Sogita with a slight bow. If he had jumped the gun things would have become very troublesome.

She had been surrounded by some pretty…interesting people…and a normal one. The entire group had seemed to diverge into two separate conversations.

"Tachibana Toshiro nice to meet you…Huh you forgot a present for a friend?"

"Yeah, I---"

At this point, she even heard the brown-haired girl saying something about not lactating in front of a certain someone. However, Kohaku restrained her urge to say anything in order to avoid falling into another rant.

So, she simply listened as Toshiro explained the situation to the others. After he had finished talking to the rest, Kohaku spoke up.

"Anyway, I think it's best that we move out of the alleyway for now. Tachibana-san is right. We can continue this conversation outside…that and I do need to hurry and figure out a good present for that basketball lover…" She then remembered the crepe that Toshiro caught. "That being said, you don't have to hold my crepe forever, Tachibana-san. I'm more than willing to take it back." She gave a cheerful smile as she said this.

He grinned. And he talked to her! Mirai just stared at Sogiita silently. She couldn't help smiling and nodding in agreement after every word. Patrolling an area known for trouble and looking out for suspicious actions actually sounded more... 'efficiently' to her. But still...

„Ah... Yeah, I suppose so!“

… There was no way she would say something else in this situation. After all, her goal was to apply  every of his 'ideals' into herself. So, that she would never feel unhappy again...

"Still, you must be quite the person yourself, miss 'Level 6 Guts'."


She started to smile again. „Thanks! It's all because of my level up, haha!“  … Level up in what? … Mirai still felt really awkward and flustered in his presence, even if her voice was a little bit louder than before. Her face had a reddish tone as she looked up to him. “I like the sound of 'miss Level 6 Guts', but my name is Mirai... Mitayama Mirai.”  She bowed a little bit. “...but you can call me whatever you like...”

She nearly bumped into the brown-haired guy, as he approached Sogiita. “Huh? So you actually ran into gutless ones? That's quite troublesome... seems like the rumors about this area are true. I hope you made it out okay?”  Her face looked a little bit concerned.


“Anyway, I think it's best that we move out of the alleyway for now.”

Mirai nodded. “Uh-huh, let's! Ah, and Miyakami-san... it's great to meet you again! We didn't switch phone numbers yet, didn't we?” As blunt as always, but she gave him a friendly smile and tilted her head a bit.

After listening to the brown haired boy's story, Takashi crossed his left arm across his chest and rested the right arm's elbow on his left arm, perching his right hand on his mouth, as if he was thinking. If he was thinking about anything though, it was about how such a simple accident could cause so much commotion. After all, it seemed as if the boy was simply trying to get by and wasn't really paying much attention. Takashi himself has been guilty of that.

While thinking about the situation, the group seemed as if it was going to move. "Well, I better either head out with someone, or go my own way." Then, in the middle of the conversation, he heard Mirai say "Uh-huh, let's! Ah, and Miyakami-san...it's great to meet you again! We didn't switch phone numbers yet, didn't we?" Although he maintained a straight face, Takashi grimaced slightly in his thoughts. "Again with the mispronunciation. I suppose she genuinely doesn't remember my name." He turned to Mirai and said calm and collected, but with the tiniest hint of seriousness. "It's Murakami. You can just call me Takashi, though." He then realized he hadn't introduced himself to everyone else yet...just like he didn't before. "Apologies for not introducing myself. I completely forgot while trying to figure out what was going on." He turned to the rest of the group and, tucking one hand neatly in the other and placing them in front of his chest, bowed at the waist. "My name is Murakami Takashi, as I said. Pleasure to meet you all."

"Ah right sorry." Toshiro said as he handed Kohaku-chan her crepe back. Before his attention went to the girl named Mirai. "They may be gutless, but they are a severe pain, with their pack tactics." He said adding his comment to their conversation. The introductions kept going, though it may have been a bad time for it, might as well he it out of the way now than later.

"Don't worry it happens to us all sometimes, it is nice to meet you Murakami." He said after hearing him introducing himself. "Yeah it is about time we leave Sogiita-san. Knowing the group of thugs I know of they will be coming around fairly soon. Especially since I saw a couple of them not to long ago. They don't like me too much, they tried extorting money out of me, I ran, they chased, and they 'got injured' from it. Used my power to slow them down." He quickly said as he started to move forward. "Then we can help Kohaku-chan get a gift, might as well stay as a group right? Safety in numbers?"

(Cue thugs entrance next round?)

Kohaku gladly took the crepe back and immediately took a bite out of the crepe and listened to what was going on around her. Yep. The crepe is still good. She thought while smiling.

"Yeah it is about time we leave Sogiita-san. Knowing the group of thugs I know of they will be coming around fairly soon. Especially since I saw a couple of them not to long ago. They don't like me too much, they tried extorting money out of me, I ran, they chased, and they 'got injured' from it. Used my power to slow them down." He quickly said as he started to move forward. "Then we can help Kohaku-chan get a gift, might as well stay as a group right? Safety in numbers?"


"Ah! You'll help me out?" She looked up from her crepe as soon as she heard the offer. "Thanks. I really appreciate it." She paused for a second and gave a smile started to follow Toshiro. "But, we can discuss that after we make our way out of this alleyway."

"Ah, sorry! I'm like.... really bad with names. Takashi is it, then!" Mirai answered the aerokinesist with a smile, while walking next to him in a carefree way. She met Takashi a while ago in a park; It was kind of strange to talk to him while he wasn't a target of pranks involving portals... And even though she couldn't remember his name, she remembered his behavior and how he wanted to save her from Kazukis pranks.

"We can leave the rest of the introductions for later: this isn't the place to linger around. All of you should move out first. I'll cover your backs in case they show up."

Mirai looked at the black-haired hero (still with strange sparkles in her eyes...). Cover their backs? “...You can do anything you want with my ba-... I mean, yeah, we should work together and protect each other! Hehe~" Mirai nodded and crossed her arms in front of her chest.  "There is no way I can let you do all the work, Sogiita-san!” She grinned and shrugged with her shoulders. Suddenly, she started to gesture wildly: "Also! We don't have to worry about Takashi here! He can summon tornados! Two of 'em!" ..... That's not how she remembered his ability... Most of it was just her lively imagination.

Takashi continued to listened in on the conversation, during which the silver-haired girl was introduced as Kohaku. After the brown haired boy, who also introduced himself as Toshiro, said his piece, Takashi simply asked "Can't we just talk them down? I would prefer not to start a fight since that would just lead to something worse. Also, how many people are in that group? If there are fewer, then we could have a potential advantage. I simply don't want things to become anything beyond some simple commotion."

As Takashi crossed his arms, he heard Mirai say "I mean, yeah, we should work together and protect each other! Hehe~" She nodded ad crossed her arms. "There is no way I can let you do all the work, Sogita-san!" Then she grinned and shrugged her shoulders before gesturing like she had gone mad before saying something a little ridiculous. "Also! We don't have to worry about Takashi here! He can summon tornados! Two of 'em!"

Absolutely blown away, Takashi couldn't help but sigh and lightly facepalm. "She also forgot my ability. Either that, or she's a little too energetic for her own good." He then sought to clear the air. "No, I can't summon two tornadoes. That's not how it works. It works in bursts that's all I can do right now." However, Takashi did agree on one thing Mirai and Toshiro said. He cleared his throat and turned back to the group before continuing. "However, I do agree that if we are going to end up standing our ground, we should do it together. I do not doubt your abilities, Sogita-san, I'm sure none of us do. However, I personally believe it's for the best. Afterwards, we can help Kohaku-chan with her present and then...part ways I suppose. I don't know what we would do beyond that." After saying his piece, Takashi simply shrugged, crossed his arms, and continued to listen in.

"Yeah, I will help. Anyways the group of thugs has only one person that has a power. Not many of them though. Almost lit my rear on fire, so I fought back via traps as I ran." Toshiro said as he walked along. "They really are not much of in the talking mood in a sense, they are your common thugs, and they want the money I have in my wallet." He said with a nervous chuckle.

He was about to say more, but suddenly he saw a familiar group of thugs. Well...slightly beaten up group of thugs, signs of bandages, and bruises were definitely apparent. Their faces changed the moment they saw him, grins coming over their faces. There were six of them, but still it was going to be troublesome all the same.
