FULL NAME: Edana Callan.
OTHER ALIAS: None.
CURRENT AGE: 16 years.
GENDER: Female.
OCCUPATION: Hunter.
FACTION: Necessarius.
APPEARANCE:
While not willing to be, this girl is a true Irish beauty. White skin, eyes as blue as crystals and long fiery red hair reaching down to the height of her belly button. Besides her innocently beautiful face, her body gives out a lot femininity as well, being shaped after men’s dreams, only a little bit more muscular than that. It wouldn’t be too far off to consider her a tough competitor in beauty pageants, though. Not that she would care about those.
In Magic it is usual to express something in the way the own clothing is chosen. For Edana her choice was to grant her further protection, by choosing an outfit to draw a connection to a light weight armour. The concept she uses builds on the usage of a light military uniform that only relies on the minimum of fabric necessary. Picking a dark green jacket, paired with a skirt and long boots of the same colour, there is a strong soldier like vibe given off from her. Underneath the jacket she wears a plain white shirt, perfectly buttoned and decorated with a military tie around her neck. As stated before this kind of attire, a soldier’s uniform, is chosen to resemble a lightweight armour, granting a slight amount of protection from physical attacks, while also slighting enhancing her own mobility, yet not all too much.
HEIGHT: 1.61m.
WEIGHT: 63kg.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Strangely enough the girl is often seen wearing thick gloves much like those typically worn be firefighters. The secret she is trying to cover by wearing these is the rather miserable state of her hands, covered in burns.
PERSONALITY:
✧Calm, collected and chilled
The first impression Edana Callan leaves is her unending calmness. She doesn’t wear any sort of mimic on her face, nor does she show much enthusiasm. Much rather it can be said that she is the type to reduce any situation down to the very roots, not getting too agitated or too absorbed by the atmosphere. Acting professional on any occasion, the young girl is often considered to be more adult than any of the wild bunch that is known as Necessarius members.
✧The Brave Maiden
Calling that girl a coward is quite far off the mark. There are rarely people of braver nature than her. Without any hesitation she would head for any battlefield, face any kind of fiend or put everything she has on the line. Traces of fear are most definitely foreign to her nature. Neither her eyes, face nor composure give out any weakness. If anything at all, Edana is a brave princess of the battlefield.
✧Shy like a puppy
Strong? Edana? Maybe! But if it gets to social interaction, she actually shows her awkward side. She is likely one of the shiest people ever, unable to fumble together words at first, not even having the slightest bit of creativity to show off when caught in every day conversations. Especially once she is to deal with attractive examples of the other gender, all she can do is stammering until somebody saves her. For her to get used to other people it will usually take some time, but once she does her calm professionalism is not the only facet of hers you will become aware of!
✧Lover of the Risky
Oh, the risks. That temptation she would always fall for. Edana is a human catastrophe of the highest level. The riskier her actions, the more joy she experiences. Always seeking dangerous situations, putting her own well being on the scale, many might agree that she is crazy, which isn’t too far off. Even her very own spells show off that trait, taking into account that any of them has downsides of extreme danger. That said, Edana is a M, straight off the books. Danger! Suffering! Give her more of that!
✧Not Feminine
She lacks the ability to appear in any way ladylike. Getting drunk on nearly any occasion, watching sports matches and enjoying the hunt over anything else, you would hardly imagine her in evening dresses with a face ornamented by make-up. The concept of table manners is so foreign to her, you could even expect a five years old boy to do better than her. At least she does know how to burry anything that could cause a negative image behind her calm and collected facade.
✧Unaffected Inhuman?
Death, bloodshed, slaughter. It takes a lot of a person to become a member of Necessarius, is it those exact things you are faced with around any corner. Losses are something humans usually are said not to endure that easily, however there are some people that seem to take it as what it is quite naturally. Edana is such a person, not feeling any impact from any disaster that may occur. In her life she had lost many people, some had simply disappeared, some had died a death that should better not be described. However, ever since she had simply taken it and accepted it, without shedding any tear or feeling any suffering as a result.
✧…probably a pervert?
Keep it a secret, but if you look at her taste in clothing, paired with her behaviour towards the other gender, you could actually assume she has some perverted side. Actually she truly does have a weak spot towards a certain kind of man, secretly lusting after them and their…muscles. The more the better! The taller, the more massive, the more pumped, the better! Drooling over men with the „perfect proportions“ she actually has a very dark side, she doesn’t wish to reveal to others. But sometimes…it surfaces…

STRENGTHS:
✧Fit Kid
Being a close combat type, equipped with a weapon of respectable weight, Edana is forced to keep her body in good shape. Her muscles having been trained ever since her childhood, she is quite strong for a girl. Looking past her unfeminine strength, she is also quite an agile one.
✧Quite Acrobatic
Muscles and speed aren’t all there is needed to be, that’s for sure. Thus she also worked to become a little bit more acrobatic, claiming three dimensional movement to fortify offence as well as defence. Be it simple jumps, quick rolls or flashy somersaults, she could do it, if needed.
✧Survival
You could drop her butt naked on an abandoned island filled with carnivorous beasts and she would somehow make it out alive. That’s how she grew up and that’s what she’s best at. Simply expect her to get by out in nature, she is sure to make it!
WEAKNESSES:
✧Boozehound
Beer, beer, beer. The best, the ultimate, the all. As a European of age 16 Edana is a legal drinker; trust me she makes good use of it. Whenever she can she will have a glass or two or three or twenty. The issue however is that she has zero tolerance. After the first, sometimes after the second she will be dead drunk - a state nobody would ever wish to experience!
✧Language fail
Unlike the many members of Necessarius, this girl is really bad with foreign languages. Occasionally important words will slip her mind, sometimes she will misunderstand or even not understand certain phrases at all. At least she is trying, even though it might turn out really embarrassing!
✧Klutz
Probably one of her sparse girlish traits. Edana is a human disaster once it gets down to nearly anything that demands at least a little finesse (outside of her craft). She stumbles over things a lot, accidentally smashes dishes or sets her own clothes ablaze. While it isn’t really misfortune she sure does attract a lot of accidents, mostly caused through her own carelessness.
✧Riddles
You want to defeat her? Give her the riddles section of a news paper and force her to solve it. It may be a simple Sudoku or even a crossword riddle, she won’t solve it, not even the tiniest bit of it. No, it will even drive her into despair, making her tear out her hair while crying tears of suffering…
HISTORY:
The country side of Ireland once gave birth to a girl called Edana Callan. She was the first child to a mother that was nothing more than a child herself, only having been 14 when giving birth. While unusual in modern days, only a century ago this was hardly much of a surprise and looking at those people the girl originated from, there was truly nothing strange about anything. The Callan’s were in all sorts far removed from modern society, living in a small cabin in the woods, not having much of anything, yet only nature. The girl never had dresses, nor had she a TV or even those modern video games. All she was given was what was around her and her family. They were nothing but hermits, a kind that shouldn’t even exist, but that was how they lived. They had a small farm and often they would sell the crops to make a living out of it. If that didn’t cut it, they would hunt, for themselves and for the sales. Animal skins or meat still could bring profit out in the greens.
Over the years her family grew, every year another sibling joined, making it a total of five at her sixth birthday. Her mother had grown weak from giving birth too often and died the very same year, only leaving behind her husband, the six children and her own parents that lived with the family inside that small cabin. But that was acceptable. Hunters lived accompanied by death. One year from then Edana was supposed to become a hunter like her father and grandparents, her only lifelong dream.
However it would never come to that. One day there came a beast. It was not an ordinary breed, nothing ever seen even by her experienced father and grandfather. It was a hound, tall as man with teeth sharp as swords and a scream that could shake the very earth. No matter how hard one tried, no ordinary man had the skill to slay it, thus everyone who tried faced death. It took the father, the grandfather, the grandmother, the little brothers and sisters, the family dog and lastly it would have also taken Edana, if its heart hadn’t been pierced that very moment.
In that most desperate situation a Magician had descended upon her, slaying the monster with a lance that appeared to be taken straight from a fairy tale. Having arrived too late he apologised to the child he had saved. Strangely enough the girl was neither scared, nor damaged. All she did, was admire the slayer of the beast none of her ancestors had stood a chance against. She admired him, or maybe only that lance he was holding. She admired what she had become witness to and as she did, she made the decision to follow him.
The truth she had not known and is likely never to find out, not that she would truly care, is quite simple: The Magician that had posed as her saviour had belonged to a cabal that once ago had tried to replicate the great Irish Hounds from the legends. One day a single specimen had escaped. To prevent any disaster caused by this incident they had sent out their most skilled hunter to quickly take care of the beast. However, he had been too late to fully accomplish his mission, only being able to save a single girl. Maybe it was because he had to take responsibility for his failure that he had taken her in in the end, but that was only fair, wasn’t it?
Usually stepping into this side of the world is a strange process. It requires belief and dedication, a teacher willing to teach and an outlook. Her desires were clear as day, thus the girl’s reason to walk this road was to become a slayer much like him, slaying even the most tremendous beasts just on a whim, surpassing her father, his father and his father’s father, making all those ancestors proud of her in return, since she had been denied the possibility of joining them back then. Thus she took up the Magic Name Mactare130 as a symbol for that oath she swore to herself. Once she had, the path of the student began.
After picking the most promising baseline for her own spells, Edana was taught how to craft weapons herself, in order to produce her own spiritual item. It took about a year before the first prototype of the Lúin Celtchair was completed, another two years for the next one and even more work to work further on it. Her master had become like family. But as it is with all Magicians, one day he simply disappeared, leaving her all alone.
At the age of 13 she began to travel the world all alone, vigorously working on her own spell, fighting for survival, joining cabals, leaving cabals and seeking out a means to grow closer to that ideal form she imagined. Her desire wasn’t revenge, only bloodshed and survival. Pride was what she wanted to increase. Following that path in her life it was hardly a surprise that her road finally lead her to Necessarius.
About a year ago Edana Callan passed the impossible entrance exams, earning herself the full benefits of membership. Now here she is, living the dream of the eternal hunt.
RANK: Member.
MACTARE130: - There shall remain nothing I can not slay.
Carved upon her heart expressing her desire to slay any and all beasts in the world, much like the one that killed her family, this name expresses a rather simple, even though impossible goal, but isn’t that what causes every Magician to go down that undesirable road?
LÚIN CELTCHAIR:
Irish lore is a funny thing. Among the many myths to be found within it, there are of course various spirits and various items of truly legendary nature. One of them is the lance of Celtchar mac Uthechair, one of its great heroes known for his rather gruesome actions. But even more famous than himself was that lance. According to the legend said lance was a symbol of bloodlust, turning any drop of blood touching it into flames that by the end would even eat up its own master if no countermeasures would be taken. Said countermeasures in the legend was the act of dipping the lance itself in a vessel filled with poison. Still the temptation of using it was tremendous, was its power overwhelming. Each time it was swung someone would die, no matter if it’d hit or not. Whenever thrown nine men would die, always a noble man among their numbers.
Edana as the brave and slightly insane girl she is, has chosen none else than said lance as the baseline of her main spell. Of course she did not get her hands on the original, but made use of the laws of the Idol Theory to craft a replica. Hers takes the shape of a spear made of steel of about 1.8m length, ornamented by 50 rivets randomly spread across its shaft. The spear’s outer shell was painted in a darkish red, chosen to express its lust for blood. Furthermore, since the original could have been perceived as some sort of living being, it is also ornamented with lon cavities along which liquid can flow resembling blood vessels that spread across the lance’s full length, adding a further organic touch. The blade is about 25cm long, given the shape of a round V, with saw like convexities covering the edges, to increase weapon’s overall cruelty, making it befitting of the hero Celtchar mac Uthechair was said to be. Sharp as it is it could easily rip open a human body, spilling lots of blood.
Following the legend, every time the spear comes into contact with any drip of blood it will immediately make said blood catch fire explosively, similar oil hit by an igniter. Depending on the amount of blood, the ignition’s effect is much like an explosion of varying force. Therefore any cut received by it will cause damage ranging from burns to rather gory outcomes. Besides that ignition it goes without saying that the blood itself is turned into a boiling hot liquid on any occasion, reaching the harmfulness of molten iron.
However neither Edana nor anyone else is spared by that effect. Logically spoken the lance being covered by blood over the course of the battle would come to bite the user in the ass, quite a lot. With each drop, the danger of accidentally hurting oneself will increase.
According to the legend the only way to calm those flames is the use of rotten liquid or - more favourable - poison. Adapting this trait, in order to return blood into its original form, it is necessary to cover it in any sort of poison or rotten cadaver, as the Lúin Celtchar itself only is longing for the blood of the living. To at least lighten the trouble of always having to bring along the required poison, Edana usually brings two spray cans of insecticide along.
Some stories do claim that the Lúin Celtchair bears another dreadful gain for anyone using it. It was once said that no matter if it actually hit or not, it would cause someone’s death. In Edana’s version of it - of course a weaker one than the original - the lance’s lust for the enemy’s blood is emphasised. Whenever the lance’s strike is evaded by the target, it alters its shape in a way allowing it to reclaim the right of spilling blood. Usually this miracle manifests in the lance’s length magically increasing, its shaft twisting or the blade itself growing to somehow acquire a cut. Of course the lance intuitively will make sure to reach out for a place with heavy circulation of blood, just to gain the most from it. The minimum requirement for this effect to actually be triggered is for the user to strike with the will to attack and for the enemy to evade (not block) said attack. Furthermore it is only limited to a second strike, not an unending storm of follow-up strikes.
Lances are not only weapons of close combat. In many shapes they are supposed to be thrown. This is no different for the lance of Celtchar. In legends it was said to kill nine people whenever cast, always having one noble person among its victims. Of course due to Edana’s only being a copy it only has less than a 10th of the original strength, thus only affecting a single target at all times. However while the number of targets is lower than the original, the rule that a higher ranked individual will be targeted won’t be ignored. Through the strong connection to blood, the lance will always seek out the target with the noblest blood among any sort of group, altering its path in the air until it either hits or gets stuck somewhere. Usually this means the targeting mechanism will pick people of noble bloodlines over normals, which often might appear quite random. Besides that it will also pick humans over animals and differentiate animals by their position in the food chain. The only person unaffected is the one casting the lance.
OTHER ABILITIES:
✧Perception of the Filidh
It is said that Filidh, Irish seers chewed on the flesh of dogs in order to receive visions of the future. Based on that saying, Edana crafted a spell that, by chewing on raw meat of the descendants of the old Irish Hounds, she is granted enhanced perception or rather instincts much similar to an animals. This mostly gives her a stronger awareness of possible threats, like betrayal, incoming danger or traps. However it is also said that whoever consumes the flesh of dogs shall face death. Fortunately this weakened version doesn’t punish that fatal taboo as cruelly, even though in case she would swallow the piece of flesh, she would suffer from fatigue and heavy stomach ache.
✧Trap Maker - Magic MacGyver!
Originating from a family of hunters, absorbed in the lore about Celtchar mac Uthechair, Edana is quite knowledgable about the art of making traps. Be it ordinary hunting traps or magical traps, she can set up and identify both rather quickly, not to forget that she is quite adept in the craft of dismantling them as well. For her skill set of setting those up, she usually works with whatever she has at hand, often not being able to craft anything too outraging. Dealing with whatever nature gives one is the craft of a hunter, isn’t it?
✧Enhancements
Not really worth the mention, but Edana’s clothing grants her the benefits of a lightweight armour, which are weak protection from physical attacks and a slight boost in agility.
✧Craft of the Huntress
Having grown up as a hunter and dedicating her existence as a Magician to it, it’d actually be strange if she didn’t consider the hunt her craft. Within her skill set are all the things any hunter can do, like reading the trails of animals, having knowledge over their behaviour and reading into their minds from experience and understanding. However as a member of Necessarius her specialisation reaches beyond wild animals, up to actual humans, especially those to be categorised as Magicians.
✧Lance Girl
With the Lúin Celtchair being her main spell, it is demanded for her to have trained the art of lance combat a fair bit. She is no super natural genius like the members of the Knights of England, but she is indeed better than your average person in wielding it. Due to this lance’s nature of taking over the offence on its own, the actual focus of Edana’s training was with acquiring the skill of wielding it in a way that’d allow her to slip past the majority self inflicted harm. Still, even without her spell her offensive capabilities shouldn’t be brushed off as not threatening — an expertise is still an expertise.
✧Lance Smith
It isn’t really a skill granting much use, but Edana is actually capable of some black smith crafts, mostly focussed on the production of a lance. Hardly anything too surprising the only lances she ever crafted were attempts at manufacturing something that’d function as the lance of Celtchar.
✧Safety Gloves
Burns are a nasty thing, especially if you are swinging a lance covered in boiling hot liquid. To prevent damage to her own hands, Edana always wears a pair of fire resistant gloves, the kind fire fighters are often seen wearing, only that hers are a little modified. Covered in stitchings of runes, she herself assembled to grant protection from fire and heat, she is at least a little more safer than your average idiot. However due to her not being an expert in regards to runes, their formation doesn’t grant perfect protection, meaning the resistance doesn’t have infinite endurance (only under 7 to 10 minutes of constant exposure).

MISC. INFORMATION: Now that more than a year has passed I reached the realisation that Birdway’s very role in the RP is too difficult to handle, nor is it in any way enjoyable on a longer term. Basically a mastermind character is none that offers many possibilities, thus I settled on something more down to the ground. Consider Birdway dropped for Edana’s sake.

✧Lance Goddess
With the Lúin Celtchair being the tricky item it is, it is demanded for her to be an absolute genius in the craft of wielding it. Having trained ever since, always with the prospect of being killed on any accidental stupid move, Edana truly is a master in handling that particular lance. Even among the knights of England you wouldn’t find someone as dedicated to their weapon.
CHARACTER THEME: Silence.
PLAYER'S NAME: Iva
CHATANGO NAME: ivaman
RATING: M (even though I’m a S).
FACE CLAIM: Ootori Ouka - Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai.
OTHER CHARACTERS: Mugino Shizuri, Kamijou Touko.

Re: [Magician] Edana Callan
- The Testpost:
- This is bad…if I don’t watch out I might get myself killed…!
Beads of sweat started to appear on her forehead one by one. Her breathing slowed down. She could feel the blood pumping through her veins.
Everything depends on my next move…success or failure…life or death…
Edana Callan’s mental state was comparable to a hunter’s before striking. A hunter that knew very well about the fact that miss would mean their very death, as the carnivore they were after would come to bite their neck immediately, exploiting any flaw in her defence.
I can do it. I can. If I can’t who else can?
She was prepared, mentally ready, she would do it. She would strike! She would tear down the beast and claim victory.
«Mactare130!!!»
Announcing her Magic name her eyes shot open, seeking direct eye contact with that muscular dark skinned colossus working as the waiter in that small restaurant she had stumbled into at the end of the very world, somewhere in the dark continent.
She shivered, lost her breath and nearly that composure she was usually that famous for. He smiled, then spoke to repeat the question he had asked before.
«Can I pick up your order, miss?», he asked in his homeland’s characteristic language, this time speaking a little slower had he figured the girl may have not understood.
Silence.
Why was it me that was sent to hunt down that insane cannibal? Why is it always me that is sent to such places! And why…agh…this shape…this form…they’re hard as steel, aren’t they…?
Upon losing the focus on his eyes, her glance had swayed yet again, crossing over his upper body that had only a dirtied white skin-tight tanktop covering those proportions that’d even make Schwarzenegger look jealous.
Suppressing the drool that nearly surfaced at her mouth’s corners, she finally made her move…
«Me…order…smoked…elefant butt…»
Not having a single clue about what she had just said, Edana fought to her utmost to finally conquer some personal freedom. She had been bad with foreign languages all along, but this was a situation far more severe than just a lack of language skill in a country she had never set foot into before.
At least the man left, after giving her a final smile and outlook at his rather inhuman features.
Taking a well deserved sigh of relief, Edana sunk back into her chair, enjoying the calm before the next fierce battle.
Neither did she have any idea about the contents of her order, nor did she have a strong stomach for anything originating from foreign cuisine anyway…
Surely, this day would mark her death.
Re: [Magician] Edana Callan
Aside from personally finding it difficult to imagine a 14 year old giving birth and continuing to give birth once a year for the 6 consecutive years, I thought the history was pretty solid without any problems. Having been isolated from normal human society/civilization I can kind of understand how she may have adopted the philosophy "Survival of the Fittest" where the strong survive while the weak dies. This shows when she really doesn't show much of an empathy for her family who just got slaughtered right before her eyes. You might have to explore this a little further in the history how she has adopted it, was it her father who taught her that or the general law of nature she observed whilst growing up (Beasts eating other beasts)?
I don't know if it was intentional but this seems to carry over to how she may have felt about her instructor, she doesn't seem to show any emotion when he disappears one day but simply accepts it naturally. Was it her lack of empathy that drew him to take her as a disciple? I think this could also be explored a bit further since it would be interesting to see what was going through his mind when he chose to take in a disciple. Also why did he apologize for getting there late? Actually what was he doing there in the first place? As for the monster what exactly was it? It definitely doesn't seem like a normal beast unless this forest was home to many monsters. Magicians don't usually learn their craft for monster hunting... as a matter of fact I'm not sure if there are many monsters out there for her to slay. At least nothing that was born from natural means.
Moving onto her Spiritual Item~☆
Correct me if I'm wrong but I read the 3 unique traits applied with the Spiritual Item as follows.
1. Blood combusts upon touching the lance.
2. The weapon has a lock on feature which activates if certain conditions are met. (Watered down version of F/Stay Night's Gaebolg?)
3. The weapon prefers human blood over beasts and among human blood it will prefer noble blood over peasants.
Does the blood catch on fire regardless of where on the lance it touches? Or is it exclusive to the blade?
You mention that a lance is a throwing weapon so does it have to be thrown in order to activate it's lock on feature? I feel it might get out of hand if you were just jabbing the lance with every attack with the intention of having the opponent evade it. For example, aiming for their legs. Aside from that not a lot of people (on this board) have weapons to block with if you count the Science side characters and even Magicians it's really 50:50 depending on whether one uses a melee weapon or not. Which essentially means they'll try and evade it 9 out of 10 times allowing this passive to be active indefinitely.
As for 3. I'm surprised she crafted a weapon that prefers human blood over Beasts considering she aspired to become a Monster Slayer of sorts. Getting onto topic here, what happens when she comes across monsters that doesn't shed blood like a Golem or Automatons like the ones seen aboard on The Queen of the Adriatic Sea or the unmanned Armored Suits you sometimes see in the series. I feel the weapon might prove to be a bit of design flaw considering her magic name and her dreams of becoming the most powerful monster slayer. Her weapon seems more designed to be a manslayer than a monster slayer. It's a small contradiction between her spec and her Magic Name. If you still insist on going with it then it's fine, not a huge problem.
Ok and these are just some suggestions from me~☆
Perhaps she could be an avid weapons collector? In the game franchise Monster Hunter I ended up collecting and crafting various weapons to suit my playstyle and I found some weapons are simply too superior when hunting a certain species of monster. I think this character could be the same, someone who is versed in many weapons and collects them either by crafting them herself or spending her earnings to buy them. Maybe she's a weapons crafter who is associated with Necessarius weapons facility, Sword Sanctuary. If I was a monster hunter I think I would aspire to become a collector. For example if you were trying to hunt a monster named Saint, the most ideal weapon you'd first want to collect as a hunter would be the Stab Sword (and I kind of want to see someone wielding this haha....)
Another suggestion with Celtchair. If the whole aim of the weapon was to draw blood maybe you can design a weapon that would have insane reach and flexibility. Perhaps change the spearhead to a whip-blade (Ivy/Soul Calibur) or a spiked flail/scythe (Hidan/Naruto)?

Re: [Magician] Edana Callan
Not the Librorum Prohibitorum D:
The History
I expected this to come, to be honest. It’s a funny thing, but whenever I write stories I hate to elaborate on certain parts, like the origins of certain behaviour or the people I don’t give much information about. If I were to put it in simple words, I’d say that she’s always had been accepting of loss naturally. It’s like some people being affected by others’ deaths and some are not. In Edana’s case it’s a little bit more severe. Furthermore, even though the history doesn’t give it out that well, I tried to express the fact that she was captivated by what happened and the great hero that had saved her. Part of that was what built the baseline of her becoming a Magician, diving into a world filled with gruesome bloodshed - so yeah you’re right.
If you want I could - instead of elaborating it in the history - add a trait to her personality, as I would personally prefer that over history edits.
Now then, to give information on something that is neither of importance for Edana nor the future plot: That Magician originated from an Irish cabal, involved with the recreation of the old Irish hounds through magical means. One of said hounds had escaped their camp, going on a rampage and killing Edana’s family on its run. That Magician had gone after it, sadly managed to arrive too late, unable to prevent it from harming others. The only one he was able to rescue was Edana, whom he felt responsible to, was he unable to prevent said disaster he had been tasked to prevent.
If that is alright I could add it to the history.
Spiritual Item
Yep, whenever the blood touches the lance anywhere it is bound to catch fire, meaning that any blood flowing down the shaft would make it much more troublesome to touch it - making those gloves I added the base requirement to even use the lance. I kinda derived this from the fact that the original Lúin Celtchair would burn the hands of anyone using it, once it would start spilling blood.
Also I’d like to point out that I don’t consider Science Side characters as even capable to defend against a trained melee fighter in usual scenarios, not to forget that a clash between Magicians and any people of the Science Side would be something that should not happen to begin with, taking into account the existence of the Treaty. Characters that don’t have the necessary short range combat ability to evade strikes like those are usually seen taking up the longer range anyway, which would pose a safe area, considering the fact that the lance needs to have to prospect of hitting to begin with, before the second strike effect would be triggered.
Personally I would claim that beings with no blood in their veins are not to be considered lifeforms or put into the category of beasts. Golems and the like are automatons after all, which is far from the prey a proper hunter should be pursuing.
The Suggestions
I’m really grateful for those and I actually considered making her a weapons collector, however I settled against it. My goal when creating this character was one truly dedicated to the spiritual item they crafted, until the end. Not to forget that a collector would be something way too powerful to deal with, considering the amount of spiritual items they would have access to, removing any kind of possible weakness in overall missions from the spectrum (not to forget that it would be a terrible chore to write all of those out @.@).
Before I was actually considering to have the lance create a mirage whenever she is striking, to make it more difficult for the target to perceive where the attacks are coming from, but I settled against it as I thought it wouldn’t fit. The requirement of the enemy’s blood in the equation is sadly something I feel is impossible to remove.

First of all the lock on requires it to be thrown properly, but only if it is supposed to chase after the most noble blood. Second, the strike needs to be executed with the intention of hitting. Pretending to strike or anything the like wouldn’t cause the spell to be activated. Furthermore it only works like a twin strike attack anyway. So the opponent would have to dodge the first strike and then the follow up, that’s it. The blade won’t follow up with an eternal barrage of consecutive attacks after that, unless she is striking with killing intent yet again. Basically it is much like a quick follow up attack, only that it wouldn’t require her to move her own body. You mention that a lance is a throwing weapon so does it have to be thrown in order to activate it's lock on feature? It might prefer humans over beasts, however for someone who is hunting beasts only there is no need to worry about humans interfering with the targeting mechanism to begin with. Actually the motivation behind using that targeting mechanism is to take it into the domain of beasts. If faced with a group of beasts it would aim at the highest ranked among them, robbing the group of its leader in the best case, thus crushing their formation etc. Therefore I see it as rather fitting. As for 3.
