To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S
I figured I could give this General Chat a push on the back with a few discussion threads. and I will be starting with To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S.
With the last episode being out, the season is now done. I assume we can now discuss properly of our thoughts, expectations whenever they were met or not, as well as our personal dislikes regarding it.
Please consider that by the time I'm writing this, To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S 24 has not been subbed yet.
Feel free to talk about the season itself, but also about how you think J.C Staff handled it. Though I would very much appreciate it if you guys could separate your thoughts between the Sisters Arc and the Silent Party one. I think that they would be better off being separately addressed, but starting a second thread for Silent Party would seem quite stupid to me.
Regarding my personal thoughts, I will be posting them in a later post. I am currently re-watching the season to get a clear idea of what I think about it.

Ah man I loved the Sisters arc in this adaption
that makes 5 times the Sisters arc has been done. This was the best adaption. it's rare for me to say this but J.C Staff did a good job.....except with the fillers
STUDY called themselves apart of ACs Dark Side....seems very wrong

yes, STUDY confirmed to be so deep in the darkness that they even have connections with Aleister!Hujisaka Natsumi wrote:Don't mind me, but one thing I'm sure about Silent Party is...

Re: To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S
They could be bluffing.
Overall I found RailgunS really good.
The sisters adaptation was good, but didn't like the Accelerator scene in comparison to the Index version. (It was also alot shorter in the Railgun version).
I found the other groups like ITEM interesting and the appearance of Misaki "Mental Out" which I found surprising considering she turns up later in the manga (although then again.. it could of been a flashback in the manga).

Re: To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S
Is it just me, or does the girl scientist in that gif have an expression that says, 'why are they all doing that with their glasses?'.
I also enjoyed this version, but I've only seen the Index version and read the manga versions. I haven't read the novels yet.
I personally liked the shorter version of the fight. Victory should be precise and decisive. A match between masters can be settled in an instant. Thirty seconds is an eternity on the battlefield, or in the ring. These are all things that I feel glorifies the fight in question.
I feel dragging the fight out cheapens it. Put in the beats it needs, but don't make us wait five episodes watching the character scream and power up like they do in some other shows.
I was scared they were going to do that in the index version.
For the arc as an overall, I really liked how they depicted Railgun. They really made me feel like, yeah this character has no other options. They really showcased her character flaw. Her standalone complex.
Dividing the season into two arcs was a really good move. We got to see her struggle, and then overcome, her character flaw. Then, we get to see her in a new adventure.
If they had dropped us into the new arc without showing us that growth, we'd question why the same character who planned to sacrifice herself alone would be working so well with her group of friends. If they just gave us just the first arc, we'd really only have something we've already seen.
