RWBY - Web series

RWBY is a web series that had started not too long ago by RoosterTeeth (creators of: RedVsBlue).
It has 16 episodes in the first volume (technically season 1 hasn't ended yet).

I figured people who come to this forum might be interested as it shares some similarities to the ToAru series.

I originally intended to follow RWBY when I saw the trailers, but somehow the first "arc" didn't live up to the hype the trailers had me into. Also, the voice acting and animation pretty much left me unsatisfied. I might try to pick it back up again, but for all I know, the only thing I've truly enjoyed about RWBY so far is the music.

I saw this series recently and I have to say I kind of enjoyed it despite its shortcomings. The animation takes some getting used to but it seems fairly obvious that the majority of time seems to have been spent on the fight scenes which are much higher quality.

The characters are fun and interact well with one another. Their designs are unique enough to be interesting without being too busy and also providing a decent idea of the character themselves. Voice acting is nothing to rave about but it's certainly passable.

The setting is pretty simplistic but that allows the series to jump into the action without having to explain things in too much depth.

My only complaint would be that so far there's not been much in the way of an overarcing storyline. Though it seems one has been planned so we'll see how the show handles it.
