Alternate Universe meets Original Universe.

The place to discuss the eventual crossover of the canon ToAru universe, and our own.

Specifically, the possibilities of what could happen, one big idea being how it happens, and specifically the events that occur.

Does Touma, or a select few characters from Original Universe get thrown into the Alternate Universe? Do the non-canon and changed canon characters get thrown into the original universe? Both? And how does it happen? Who interacts with who? How will the differences in the stories effect the characters? Will the AU and OU versions of a single character meet? Will the characters be enemies? Friends? Frienemies? Possible conflicts or sides? And how did they get there? Magic? Science? Some other way that can still be properly explained?

Ideas you have for these and more could be posted, for the eventual fusion that is bound to happen. Don't be shy, post anything you feel could happen, and don't be afraid to go into detail. it could be funny, serious, action packed, grim, dark, romantic, insane, however you want to make it! There's no knowing where we'll be going!

Hm, for starters, I think I'll be dealing with Touma, the biggest conflict here.

The Raildex franchise isn't finished, so we still don't know what Imagine Breaker truly is, as such I think that, as an alternate universe role-playing forum*, we can go by our own means to deal with it, such as our own explanations and/or vagues questions/answers.

Now what I was thinking of originally was, first off is having either Touko or Touma having Imagine Breaker, two Imagine Breakers would be hard to deal with canon-wise, and that could arise a question of what IB really is.

The reason why I'm speaking in past tense, is because IB supposedly is a 'seal' for the thing inside Touma, so we can't go and undo that so easily.

Hmm, we could have both Imagine Breaker, which could (or not) be an unexpected event in Aleister's plans, and a twist to the story.

For whenever a few character should be selected, aside from Touko, who's the genderbent of Touma, I think all characters are their original gender, so it wouldn't be logic to have two Misaka Mikotos, and two Accelerators.

For Fukou da sake, we could just have Touma falling out of nowhere**, and wondering why nobody[Such as Misaka and rest] recognize him as Kamijou Touma, and who is this Kamijou Touko

I think that's all I can think of, for the moment. I'll come back and post when I have other ideas!

Well, I can't say anything for exactly what's inside Touma/Touko's right hand... we may have to come up with our own idea for it.

I think having two of different characters would be a good idea. It could create the conflict of "Who's the real one and who's the fake" which may be interesting, especially with two Accelerator's with only a single Last Order to have for themselves.

And the AU Misaka could be seen as a clone at first, but slowly be revealed to be something different, when she reveals her powers of a Level 5 Railgun.

Perhaps there could be some sort of series of crimes that a few of the AU characters are pinned with, and they have to fight the OU characters trying to capture the "dangerous criminals"? To avoid being jailed, and eventually find a way back tho their own world (or not, lol) while working with any AU characters that do exist in this world as well, as they all try to get together and combat a city against them. Some of our guys aren't the most stable, so I can only imagine the chaos that would ensue, especially in the fights XD

And there is the trolling possibility of the AU characters teasing the OU characters with knowledge that the"random strangers" (according to the OU's) shouldn't know. Oh, the hilarity.

And it could eventually be used as what makes the fights more serious, the AU characters using their knowledge to combat the OU characters. Something that could put serious pressure on them.

It's probably just me but I'm finding the whole OU AU thing a little confusing. I mean, it's a cool idea but I have a feeling this will get really complex and may take a lot of effort to organise. I think Touma entering this AU from OU may be an interesting idea, since we don't actually have a Touma... But I'm not sure about other characters. (i.e. I agree with Natsumi's post)

Also, would the Touma from AU be within the same Time frame? As in, would he maybe from the future? Just a thought.

My characters are mostly original characters but some of the interactions are different in the alternate universe.

'In a certain corner cafe' (my original storyline; where Mori Kita is the player character), Sayuri arrives in the city the same time as Index and spends some time hiding on the streets from mages. She attacks a Judgement office and steals information to find her sister instead of relying on others.

Ami Fujiwara discovers her sister in the city and that she is a mage. The story arc of her trying to protect her sister from the city begins; depending on your choice determines if Sayuri or Ami dies. This fate could likely change or it could repeat depending on how quickly other characters prevent another experiment which begins.. but with Sayuri in the heart of it all.

The organisation DISPEL in cannon doesn't get involved with the other groups.. but in the alternate timeline they are likely to cross paths with ITEM and SCHOOL, while staying some distance from GROUP.

Well as far as Touma's concerned (in fact, wasn't he the reason we got onto this topic in the first place?) There are ways he could get involved in the new canon without requiring alternate universe crossovers. Though I can't reveal them for plot reasons I'm beginning to think it might be more and more likely at this point, given how things are falling into place.

But that aside, I'm interested in how you guys think such a crossover would work out? Who allies with who? Who ends up at odds?
