SS idea: Attack of the Pranksters

As I’ve been saying it quite often, I’m finally going to open a thread about it: I was working on the idea of a Side Story thread. So let’s kick things off:


Normal days are rare. Nearly everyday there may be something happening in the big city of science.

However for most of its citizens most days are quite boring. Nothing to, but the ordinary everyday things like hanging out, studying, working or whatever else may await one in normal everyday life. Where is the fun in that? Can there even be seen some in those actions?

That’s what they had enough of. A group of simply youths, Level 0s, Skill-Outs. They had enough of their miserable everyday life routine of producing nothing, being useless and having no fun at all. So what was their solution? Simple: The decided to have some fun! Putting on colourful costumes, hiding their faces behind masks and taking everything they could find, they started an attack on the city!

A new way of attacking was found. It wasn’t some method of violence, nothing economical. It was nothing with an all too evil intention. It was simple pranking spread around the whole city meant only for them to enjoy. Chaos, ruin? What did it matter to them? They didn’t care about the results of their actions. Whatever they would cause they didn’t even think into it.

All that mattered to them was: Fun. So the attack of the pranksters was to begin.


However, none of those idiotic 3 did realise what was going on behind their backs. Where did they receive the sudden funding from? Why did anyone even dare to fund them? There’s something more to it.

The pranksters are only a means to accomplish a goal. What is the goal? Who would benefit from such actions? So many questions. So little time to answer.

Alright. Edited my base idea a little bit and added a working title~

So let me hear your opinions~

It seems interesting. A group of people just doing things for the sake of screwing around sounds like a fun premise, especially if other characters are trying to pursue them. Not only that, but the randomness of their actions, and their lack of discrimination could make them legitimately difficult to track down and figure out.

It could actually be interesting, possibly forcing characters to work together to find and detain them. As a straightforward plot, I'd say it sounds pretty good.

Sometimes straightforward is good =D sounds fun~

Ok, I added a little bit more to the whole story. I still think it’s about the pranksters fun, but that isn’t all there is to it. I believe that Academy City isn’t a place that would simply allow fun without staining it in darkness. So yeah, the pranksters are going to be manipulated by the ones investing into their actions. They are still going to do whatever they want, executing their pranks without realising. Yet in the end the time will come for someone to interfere with their actions and then there would be need to cut the connection between the investor and the criminals.
It will basically be everyone hunting for those idiots. On one side the players who have their own reasons, on the other the people in the background that need to cover up their involvement. Blood will be spilled, someone may even die.

That’s the story.
