[Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
OOC NOTE: Remember that characters have memories of Arc 1 and its accompanying Side Stories. [ie. This event occurs between Arc 1 and Arc 2, just so everyone is on the same starting ground] The plot that occurs in this Omake however, will have absolutely no bearing on the future Main Arcs and Side Stories of our roleplay.

This is our site's FIRST ANNIVERSARY event! [12/06/13] Thank you all for being part of the site- we wouldn't be able to have so much fun like this without you all~! To our flourishing ACU,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Without further ado, it’s time to party~ Have fun! :3
Academy City.
A place of higher technology, a place for Science. Where logic and intelligence are highly valued, and supernatural beliefs largely ignored by the masses.
It is the home of 2.3 million people. Of those, 60% possess some kind of psychic ability and are labelled as Espers of levels between 1 to 5. As the most advanced city in the world with the capability of producing supernatural powers, Academy City is both envied and feared by many of the outside world...
July 18th
It was seemingly just another ordinary summer's day in Academy city. Bustling with the usual activities of students and workers who reside there, nothing seemed out of place or extraordinary.
Unknown to these people however, a strange phenomena was occurring faraway... And it was about to affect a select handful of those in Academy City...
Soon, these people would find themselves suddenly teleported to another place, another world...
A Certain Mysterious Island.
Will our heroes be able to survive its trials and work out what's going on?

Even before she opened her eyes, Misaka Mikoto knew something was very much wrong. Something important was missing, a seemingly simple yet vital part of her that she could not yet quite identify. It kept nagging and twisting within, the unpleasant feeling growing unmistakably. It made her almost afraid to open her eyes.
Almost.
In the end, curiosity was just too powerful to resist.
Brown eyes opened slowly and blinked as a blue, cloudless sky swam into vision. She was lying on the ground, the dry soil cold and hard beneath her body. Mikoto stared at the azure blanket high above, confusion hazy in her mind.
‘What… am I doing?’
She slowly pulled herself up to a sitting position, breathing a small sigh of relief when she realised she harboured no injuries at all. Although the memories of what she had been doing earlier kept slipping from her grasp, Mikoto figured the lack of injuries was probably a good sign. Nodding to herself, Mikoto raised her head to survey the area.
Her eyes widened in shock and fear.
There was nothing around her. Nothing but trees, the earth and the sky. It wasn’t just this that completely shook her though. She now knew what that uncomfortable feeling that had been gnawing at her was.
No electricity. The element she was so comfortable with, the element she had always been surrounded by and had taken comfort in was nowhere to be found. Not a single trace of electromagnetic waves could be perceived or sensed in the air.
Briefly, Mikoto was sent into a whir of panic. She had always taken the hum and buzz of electric fields surrounding her for granted. It had become a large part of her perception of the world, a major part of her as an esper. Without it, she felt completely lost.
‘It can’t be that…’ Mikoto glanced at her hand, almost scared that her worst fears would be confirmed. Mouth set in a determined line, she produced a set of quick, familiar calculations. Blue tendrils of electricity flared up in her hands, the sparks dancing along her finger tips.
“Ah~ ” Mikoto smiled to herself, completely relieved. “So it is just the weird environment I’m in…”
She stood up, brushing the dirt off her Tokiwdai uniform. Memories were beginning to come back to her albeit gradually. Mikoto frowned as she took a better look around her surroundings.
“How the heck did I get here?” she wondered out aloud. She didn’t even know where “here” was.
The electromaster clearly remembered sitting in the classroom as the teacher gave his lecture. Mikoto had already revised the content so she felt at liberty to let her mind wander a bit and then… Had she fallen asleep?
“Heh…” Mikoto grinned, trying her best to ignore the uncomfortable feeling of not being able to perceive her element anywhere.
“I suppose this is just a dream then,” she concluded. “A weird, and very realistic dream, but I guess that’s fine. I’ll just have to wait for myself to wake up then.”
A sudden thought occurred to her, “Ah, I should probably wake myself up somehow before Sensei discovers I’ve fallen asleep.”
The Electromaster imagined the scene and her eyebrows twitched. “That’d be really bad…”
“Hmm~” Mikoto looked up at the blue sky ponderingly. “But how do I wake myself up?”
Her head suddenly turned to stare into the distance as she detected something new. In the vast open space, there was a moving object. It was much easier to detect electromagnetic field lines when there were no other interferences. A person was approaching her way, Mikoto concluded just as their fuzzy outline came into view.
Who is it? Mikoto wondered. She felt no wariness, only simple curiosity. This was after all, just a dream. And in the end, you woke up to reality, even from the most terrible nightmares. So it didn’t really matter who they were or what they would do, or what Mikoto did for that matter.
A dream was just a dream, nothing more.

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
Screaming blasts shot past Sayuri as she dodged some magical attacks that were being thrown at her by her persuers, so far she hadn't suffered any injuries but if she didn't ditch her persuers soon then they'd surely beat her by stamina alone.
As Sayuri raced around into an alleyway she found a reflection and was about to jump into the mirror world when suddenly she felt a rush of wind sweep past her with a horrible sinking feeling as if she was falling from a great height.
The next thing she knew she found herself falling into a bunch of trees which looked like they were part of a jungle.
"What's going on?" Sayuri said silently as she got up and looked around wondering what happened to the cityscape she was previously in.
A horrible thought crossed her mind that maybe she was caught by some kind of spell, but after touching the various trees around her she could feel that they were quite real and that some how she had been transported to some new location.
As Sayuri wandered further through jungle she could hear strange noises, but given that there was nothing she could do about it she proceeded on.
A loud scream resonated over the jungle and suddenly got Sayuri's heart racing. It sounded like a human voice but before the scream could finish it promptly died out. Whatever this place was it defiantely wasn't safe Sayuri thought but she had no choice to keep moving as she was completely exposed in the jungle area.

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
"Mehh" Kita stuck her tongue out at a bunch of skill-outs after she jumped across a rooftop preventing them from chasing after her.
A loud noise behind Kita revealed that a bunch skill-outs had bust down a door behind her and had no surrounded her.
'God this stupid file better be worth it' Kita thought as she held a folder full of documents.
"You aren't leaving her with those documents"
"Really? They were an interesting read" Kita said sarcasticly as she waved the folder about with her hand gestures.
"We know about your ability! You can't teleport anywhere so we have you cornered"
"We'll see about that" Kita laughed before spinning round to counter attack the skill-out from behind her, but before she could counter the oncoming attack she suddenly blinked to notice the environment had changed entirely.
A sudden rush of air began to hit Kita as suddenly she found herself several metres above the ground.
"Wahhh!!" Kita tried as she quickly fell through the air and landed in water.
The water was salty and very deep so it took a second or two for Kita to surface before realising she was no overlooking an island.
'What on earth? Whats going on?' Kita's mind raced as she was totally confused. One minute she was fighting skill-outs and the next she's floating in sea water overlooking some random island.
Swimming over to the shore Kita just flopped onto the sand.
"What's wrong with my life.. I only wanted to.." Kita then realised that the folder she had before was in the water floating away. "Ahhh!! No you don't!" She quickly yelled out before rushing out to grab it.
The folder was dripping wet and Kita didn't dare risk taking the papers out incase the water made the papers fall apart in their current condition.
"I guess I better get myself some dry clothes" Kita spoke to herself as she looked at her wet uniform.
A quick flicker of her hand with the sound of a teleport revealed nothing in her hand.
"Huh? What's going on?!" Kita yelled out in annoyance and shock. Her pocketspace was completely empty which to her made no sense at all given that she had some of her wardrobe and school supplies locked away in there.
It was something she had used for most of her time during the esper programme, so why did it suddenly not work now?
Collapsing back onto the sand Kita turned around and looked at the sky.
"Oh.." Kita then noticed that despite daytime she noticed that there were infact two moons in the sky. "That'd explain alot.. I think"

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
(OOC Note: Post contains cursing)
***
Natsumi jumped from rooftop to rooftop.
"Fuck it, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late."
She cursed, she was late for classes, she had been walking around the city for a stroll before classes started, when a young girl asked her directions.
But the young girl was so lost that she insisted that Natsumi would take her there. As a result, they both got even more lost, by the time Natsumi finally brought the young girl to her destination, she was already late for classes.
Natsumi wasn't late for classes nor skipped them that often. But when she did, it was usually due to someone dragging her in some mess, or due to a mission.
Though she did often break the curfew, at the risk of her neck.
Going by her usual pattern, she decided to jump from rooftop to rooftop, judging it would help her see where she's going better.
(Damn that girl, couldn't she have brought a god damn map with her? At this rate I'm never going to graduate into high school, fuck...)
She kept cursing for as long as she jumped from rooftop to rooftop.
"If I can't graduate to high-school, and I'm forced to stay in this damned all-girls middle-school, some heads are going to be lost."
She made a mental list of the people to kill, if she didn't get in high-school.
(I should get there pretty soon ... Watch me get there when classes ends...)
As she jumped, Natsumi suddenly slipped on a watery roof, and fell.
(Oh fuck...!)
As she closed her eyes, bracing herself for the impact, the fall was way longer than she would have imagined. Wondering what was going on, she opened her eyes ...
To an endless scenery of blue.
"...What?"
She asked out loud, shocked by what she was seeing.
She was still falling, but didn't really care at the moment.
"What?"
She raised her head, though since she was falling head down, it was more like lowering.
She blinked, she was still seeing a blue scenery.
(Blue scenery up and down ... Ah, I see. The sea and the sky, why didn't I think of it earlier: I'm crashing head-first into the sea right now ... Wait...)
"....What?!!!!"
She screamed out loud, and crashed into the water.
After coming to her senses, she swam back up to the surface of the water.
(Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait. I was jumping from rooftop to rooftop just a minute ago, In Academy City. In Tokyo. In Japan. How the hell did I end up here?! Because I'm certain that Academy City doesn't have such realistic stuff!!)
She threw some water to her face, and breathed in, in an attempt to calm down.
(Okay, panicking is not going to do any good. None at all. Right.)
(Now, an endless scenery of the sea and the sky, I doubt I fell in the middle of the ocean, so I hope there is ... Aha.)
She turned her head around, and noticed an island, thankfully the island wasn't far away, so she could swim her way there.
(Going to be a little tough, but not impossible. I'll leave inspecting where I am for when I'll be somewhere approximately safe, I don't want to drown.)

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
It wasn't a particularly good day when one woke up lying in a rut in the middle of a jungle. This was the predicament that Autumnus Springs found himself in. He wasn't sure of how he'd gotten there, although, with his memory, that was usually to be expected. What wasn't expected, though, was the fact that he had nothing on him. While he was in his regular clothes, a hoodie and jeans, he had nothing on him. He usually carried a knife or something, but every that could be of use was gone. Even his journal was missing.
He stood up. There was no point in staying in one place. If anyone put him here with the intention of killing him, he would be safer moving than staying still. His senses were numbed, and he couldn't really see very far. His Location Read was fuzzy, and he had a constant ringing in his ears. After walking for a bit, he collapsed, exhausted, on to some leaves. Then his Location Read kicked in.
Apparently, there were a lot of snakes in the area. Unnerved, he hurriedly stumbled to his feet, and ran off. Of course, what he did was barely running, and was easily described a panicked walking. If someone intended to kill him, he would likely not encounter them on this island. Autumnus wasn't aware of any reason why they would try to kill him, though. Was it for something he did? If so, he didn't remember it, and had no way of remembering it. Did someone thing he knew too much? He obviously didn't, but there was no telling. Slowly, it dawned on him that he didn't really know how long he had been on the island, or anything about it. Was there anyone else, on the island? What, exactly, was his reason to be here?
His Location Read picked up an area with relatively few living things, other than the grass. He approached it. He found a round clearing with an obelisk, about three meters tall, in the center. He looked at the ground. The grass seemed normal enough. There weren't any traps as far as he could tell, but he thread carefully. His Location Read wasn't working well before, and he preferred not to rely on it too much. His hearing had cleared up for the most part, but he was still wary. The obelisk itself smelled like the aroma of molten metal, although its appearance was that of cold steel. At the base of the obelisk, there was an inscription:
Autumnus didn't understand this very much, but he instinctively reached for his journal, to write it down. He then remembered that he didn't have his journal, or anything to write with, for that matter. He looked around, and then decided he was tired, and sat down at the base of the obelisk.

- OOC Translation:
OK. As you can tell, my character doesn't know Latin (I guess the magicians do.)
So, here is the translation of the inscription. So great is the smelly (odorous, stinky) danger,
That we do not recommend for you to go near it.
Be silent if you walk near it.
I am condemned, for I did not hear this warning.
Do not accept gifts from strangers.
Feel free to elaborate on what this means, as I have nothing really planned for it.
That is to say, you can make up what this means, as I don't know what this inscription refers to, or why they don't want you to accept gifts from strangers.
It's generic foreboding.

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
July 10th
Bored, a spiky haired boy's, with his eyes half closed, sat in his desk within a lecture hall while suffering through one of his most hated things in existence, a mean Physics lecture. His eyes were wavering, choosing to stay awake or fall deep into sleep. The latter option was tempting, however he had needed to listen to the professor speaking in a boring monotone-like voice. His physics exam was nearing, and screwing up his exams will only lead to disaster.
"...If the electric field is known everywhere, Gauss's law makes it quite easy, in principle, to find the distribution of electric charge: The charge in any given region can be deduced by integrating the electric field to find the flux. However, much more often, it is the reverse..."
His eyelids kept flickering, trying to keep himself awake and listening. But he was becoming uninterested in his prof's words, and was losing his own sense of reality. The words of his prof started becoming hard to hear, as his eyelids came to it's final close.
------------------------------------
As soon as he had just realized he had closed his eyes, they burst open to catch whatever his prof was speaking of before he lost his sense of understanding of today's important subject. As his eyes remained wide open, he couldn't see his professor. In fact, he couldn't see anyone in his class nor was he sitting in his own desk. What he had seen was the clear blue sky with the ocean laying beneath it.
"Huh, What... the hell?..."
Immediately observing his surroundings thoroughly, he came to a conclusion that he wasn't in his classroom anymore. Right below him was dirt, complete natural dirt. He was sitting against a tree bordering the beach and the thick forest behind him. The smell of fresh air ran through his nose. He stood up, attempting to get a better understanding of his situation.
"Where exactly... am I?..."
He started to recall where he last was before he woke up in this strange area. The physics lecture was what he could remember. He also remembered that he was on the verge of falling asleep, and ended up doing it. Could this be a dream?
He raise his arm, and gently bit into it attempting to see if he could get any nerve reaction to prove his hypothesis. A small sensation of pain surged through him, as clenched his teeth onto the small piece of exposed skin. He let go, answering his own question. Though, if it isn't a dream, where was he?
He attempted to recall more of his recent past, but his mind was too cloudy to even remember. Was this even Academy City? He could recall the Simulation Test chambers he's been through during his time in the Special Ability Institute, but he was done with all the experiments. The scientists had absolutely nothing more to research his Esper ability on, so they wouldn't bother making him go through experiments again.
Right now, Haragi had to figure out where he exactly was. And to do that, he had to either find clues by bumping someone else or finding leads. He checked to see if his mental & physical state was unchanged or untouched. His OFR molecules seemed to form normally as he focused into his personal reality. This meant, he was able to cause some kind of attention if he causes a triggered explosion within the air. With that idea in mind, he lifted himself up into the air to better check his surroundings.
As he went higher and higher, the area seemed to be a gigantic tropical island and he was on the very edge of it. Now, he focused his personal reality to cause a giant concentration on Entropy of the created OFR molecules right above the forest.
"Hopefully someone with at least half a mind can see this..."
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A giant explosion occurred within the air, ringing through a chunk of the island while scaring away a flock of birds in different directions.

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
In his dream there were girls. Lots of girls. And a beach. A beach with golden sands and a warm breeze that made their hair swirl and dance... And bikinis and one pieces and all manner of wonderful things. The sound of their laughter was music to his ears.
It was a good dream.
Guy blinked an eye open, groaning in protest as the sun's light blinded him, forcing him to squint his eyes shut again to force out the unwanted stimulus.
His eyes slowly flickered open and he sat up, shaking the sand from his hair.
So the beach was real after all. And the girls...
He looked about. Half expectant perhaps? No one. Guy Li breathed a sigh of disappointment and reached into the pocket of his jacket. What he felt managed to bring at least a small measure of comfort. The boy placed a cigarette between his lips and hopped to his feet nimbly, dusting his clothes off.
He took off down the beach, following the coast of what was undoubtedly a beautiful vista. As he strolled casually along, hoping to make sense of his surroundings he patted his other pockets in search of his keepsake lighter.
Up ahead someone approached...

Sayuri heard the loud boom noise and looked up above her to see a guy in the air.
If she wasn't cursed she would of shouted up to the person, but sadly because she muted she couldn't signal the guy at all.
A shriek noise near to Sayuri made Sayuri jump as a couple of trees in the nearby area collapsed as a gigantic bird several metres across was staring Sayuri down from a distance.
Although Sayuri couldn't get the attention of the stranger, the new monster threat Sayuri had encountered was both loud and big enough to not go unnoticed.
Sayuri took a few paces back while the bird moved forward covering more ground than Sayuri due to its size.
It was as Sayuri was moving back that she noticed a mangled body next to the trees the bird had knocked down. An immediately feeling of sickness overcame Sayuri and she stopped moving back as she froze in fear.

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
The vicious bird of beastly size glared at it's paralyzed prey. It spread it's enormous wings preempting an threatening attack like a tiger would ready before pouncing at a deer. The sharp beak at swung down like a guillotine towards the poor, defenseless girl.
But....
The sound of striking solid hard glass was heard. The giant winged beast had been somehow stopped from proceeding further to kill it's prey. The visibility of some sort of transparent wall appeared. To be specific, this was a plethora OFR molecules bonded together in it's crystal lattice form or in Layman's terms, a crystal wall.
A series of faint lit sparks appeared around the beasts head, and a second after an explosion ignited causing the giant to retreated a few steps back in shock.
"A giant bird, huh?.... That's not something you see everyday...."
A emotionless voice was heard from behind the young girl. A figure approached out of the forest, passing by her without paying heed to her existence. Haragi simply stared at the now enraged beast in front of him. The high pitched shriek it gave off was proof that it still wanted to fight. The boy had sighed in annoyance,
"You sure are persistent, huh... making me waste the energy I conserved for a while... how rude..."
His threatening eyes narrowed, activating his personal reality once more. A large concentration of OFR molecules were created around the bird, only to trigger a large devastating explosion. The giant bird then realized how much of a threat Haragi had been immediately flew off while squealing in terror.
Another sigh came out of his mouth, changing back to his usual, expressionless self. He turned around, finally acknowledging the girl's existence. He thought about interrogating her about this island, but that would possibly lead to her believing that he was a threat to her. So he decided to take the friendly approach.
"Are you alright?..."
His bored eyes stared at her as he approached her young petite self.

Sayuri nodded slightly. "I'm okay" she spoke silently. "Where am I?"
Taking out a small whiteboard from her pocket Sayuri began to write. "I dunno how I got here, where am I?"
The bird had flown off and although saved by the stranger, Sayuri didn't feel completely safe as she saw a dead body behind where the bird had previously stood.

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
In the middle of a forest, a purple haired man lay passed out, wearing a grey sweatshirt with a strange while smiling face on it, as well as a black pair of pants. He slept peacefully on his back, until he felt something land on his face. A very large dragon fly.
The man, known as Kerri McKinley, stirred, and woke up to a very large insect on his face, which he calmly smacked off,
"What the..." Kerri looked out to his left,, "Oh, this isn't right," He noticed the surface he was on top of was too hard to be his couch. It was wood. Unlike most wood he saw nowadays, the kind below him wasn't cut up into a specific shape, like a board, or a chair, it was still growing off of a tree.
A tree Kerri was in was several stories high, in the middle of a forest.
How did I get here, last thing I remember, I was asleep in my apartment. Kerri looked around where he was, only to see more and more trees around him, And this definitely isn't anywhere in Academy City, so what horrible situation have I gotten myself into this time,
Kerri tried thinking back to his last memories, recalling hearing something in his sleep,
Hmm... I remember hearing some banging noises... but other than that, I'm drawing a blank. Were they gunshots...? Well, First thing's first.
Kerri looked down at the ground below, cautiously standing up on his branch, and looking down, Firstt, I need to get down from here. And I had better hurry before this branch gives below me, Kerri hears a loud, screeching noise behind him, and quickly turns around,
...And, before I get eaten... Kerri Hopped to the next branch without a second thought, throwing caution to the wind,
Behind him, a large bird was flying in his direction at a very fast rate. He didn't take much time to analyze what it looked like, only that it had burn marks on his face, and that it could swallow him whole. And while it would be polite, Kerri was not keen on the idea of being this thing's dinner.
Jumping from branch to branch, Kerri hastily moved lower and lower. He was way too exposed in the top of the trees, and would be picked off like a bug if he didn't find any cover.
As he kept going, Kerri got more comfortable as he jumped to his latest branch, staggering a bit before balancing himself, and looking up to see all of the leaves above him. His body tensed up, however, when the massive bird flew over him, shaking the leaves, and branches he was near especially the one he was on, just with the wind it created passing over him.
While he still had no idea what was going on, for better or for worse, he was safe. For now anyway,
Well, that was surreal, Kerri thought, in slight disbelief, Was that some sort of science experiment gone wrong? and what am I doing here? There's probably even more dangerous monsters here. I'll probably get eaten if I don't-
*Snap* Kerri heard a noise, and saw the branch he was on giving way,
Crap! I need to move! I need-
*Snap* Kerri couldn't move anywhere. Because of his rush, he hadn't considered making sure to move to a spot where he would be able to carefully continue his descent to the ground. In other words: no more branches to bounce off of.
Kerri tried running closer to the tree, on the breaking branch he was on, but...
*Crack* Kerri felt as the branch gave way under his feet, and tried fruitlessly to grab what was left tof the branch,
"Dammit...!" He whispered to himself, before falling twenty feet to the ground,
"AAAAAAUUUUUUGH-" *Smack*
He hit the ground face first, bouncing onto his back,
"O-oh, God...!" Kerri said, breathing and shrugging away the pain... trying to at least. It wasn't as bad as he thought, when he fell from high places, he was used to falling on concrete. Looking to his side, he noticed a blond haired girl staring at him awkwardly,
Not awkwardly enough,
Kerri stood up, with a smile plastered on his face, and bowed dramatically, before lifting himself up, and say, "Good evening to you, madam, how are you this fine day, on this mysterious island that is so clearly not Academy City? I am Kerri McKinley," He held out his hand in a casual manner, "Pray tell, who would you be?"
And he did all of this while enduring the pain of falling from twenty feet up, Might as have some fun, since I'm probably going to die... seriously though, who is this Tokiwadai girl?

"I'm okay. Where am I?"
She spoke as silently as possible to a tone Haragi could even barely hear. But then she took out a small whiteboard, and began writing on it. Why would she need a whiteboard? Is she mute? After she finished, she presented her message saying,
"I dunno how I got here, where am I?"
As odd as this girl seemed to be, Haragi just brushed off anything unnecessary that he was slightly curious about. It was possible that this girl was as clueless as he had been about this place, that she could have been in the same situation as him. He knelt down to her level, and stared into her eyes.
"Kid, you're asking me the wrong question... I myself have no idea where we are.... Do you have any idea how you got here at all?..."

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
Mikoto boldly walked forward, eyes on the mysterious figure approaching. The shoreline from whence the person had appeared came into view just above the tip of the small hill, and Mikoto distractedly turned her head towards the ocean to admire the beautiful scene. The slightly salty breeze, and the endless deep blue horizon where the sea and the sky met were refreshing to her senses. A smile curved on her lips. This place that her imagination and subconscious had somehow conjured up was actually quite nice, even though the lack of electricity needed getting used to. Perhaps this was a good dream after all.
The nearing electromagnetic waves begged for her attention and the Electromaster obliged, turning her head with the lingering smile. Her eyes fixed upon the approaching figure, she noted again how clear her perception of the electromagnetic field lines were without any external electronic interferences. They were quite distracting, constantly fluctuating and rippling around their source with much vitality. Although Mikoto was no stranger to their movements, she wasn’t used to seeing them with this much clarity- especially from a single human. It took Mikoto a few blinks of her brown eyes and a conscious calculating effort within her persona reality to focus her vision back on the actual person.
As the light reflected the image of the person’s face into her pupils with greater lucidity, Mikoto’s mouth dropped open in surprise as she recognised the familiar features.
‘No way…! It can’t be…’
But it was him. That thick black mop of hair, the blue eyes, the casual clothing, even that aloof aura… There was no room for doubt.
‘Out of all people…’
Her jaws clenched shut as an annoyed glint entered her eyes. With a quick burst of energy, she stomped up to him irritably, pointing a single, accusing finger at the English teacher. At that moment, all common sense fled from her rationality.
“You! What the heck are you doing in my dream?!” The Tokiwadai girl shouted.

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
After a minute, Autumnus decided to move away. It couldn't be safe to stay in the same spot for very long, and a distant explosion seemed to confirm that there were other people on the island. Autumnus ran away from the explosion, into the woods. He did not know the intentions of the other people on the island, and they may have wanted to kill him. He ran. He wouldn't make it far with out a weapon, so he picked up a stick from the ground. It wasn't the best weapon, but it would have to do for now. He ran through the woods, but eventually he had to stop.
He avoided stopping for long though. Staying still would make him easy prey for any predator. And there was one more thong that worried him. Every tree he could pick up with his Location Read had the word "KILL" written on it, which was odd. He didn't like this island at all.
After running for a while, he had to stop. He was on a cliff above a cove, and it was getting cold. He wasn't sure why, but he felt uneasy. The weather had been sunny just a second ago. It still looked the same, at least.
Autumnus decided he had to keep moving, or he would likely freeze. As far as he could see, the once green foliage was starting to turn into much more neutral shades. The sky was starting to turn a bright white, and suddenly, while it had once been sunny (at least it felt sunny, despite the lack of any sun) before, hail started to fall. Autumnus started to climb down the edge of the cliff. Of course, this was not in his expertise, so he managed to find a more stable path leading into the cove. This shelter would have to do.

Sayuri shrugged. "My name is Sayuri" she wrote on her whiteboard. "What's your name?"
She wanted to know the name of her saviour and thought that it was probably wiser to stick with this stranger than get eaten by some strange creature that didn't seem natural to her.
The sky darkened which made Sayuri look up. Black clouds had moved in quickly and without warning the forest was hit with a heavy rainstorm that stung slightly as it hit her.
Quickly running for cover under a bigger tree for cover she heard thunder in the distance, however there didn't seem to be any lightning in the sky; she knew though that the forest blocked most of her vision of the sky so she couldn't be certain.
The two of them needed to form a plan or the elements would surely wear them down before they encountered any more monsters.

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
The little girl shrugged, meaning she had no clue at all. She started to write a new message on her tiny whiteboard in hand. Is she really mute? Or could there be another reason?
After she paused, the white board was shown towards Haragi with it's contents saying, ""My name is Sayuri. What's your name?"
Haragi stared at the message with suspicion. Even though this was a little girl, he had to be cautious and wary of her actions. He still hadn't figured out how he got here or why he was here in the first place. So Haragi thought about his decision, and stood to face the opposing direction.
"My name's not important.... But if you really want a name... You can call me 'Solid Air'...."
Haragi Faye wasn't an option at this point. If he found out this girl's true intentions and if they weren't harmful against Haragi, he would feel comfortable about trusting her at that extent. But for now, he decided to watch as things progress and possibly find leads about this island.
A waterdrop gently hit the side of Haragi's cheek from above. A few more had then consecutively hit the surface of his skin. The clouds had darkened. More water had started to fall not soon after. It was raining and pretty heavily too. The little girl, then immediately ran to the nearest tree to take cover from the rain while Haragi stood there getting drenched in rain. Haragi could easily use his OFR molecules to create a shield above him to avoid the pursuing rain, but he'd rather follow his ideals and conserve his energy.
He approached the tree to take cover, while standing beside the girl. An annoying sigh came about as usual as he saw the rain collectively splashing about the ground. Not to mention the fact he was completely drenched. He brushed his hair back with his hands to remove the water swelled up in his air.
"Well... that's annoying..."
He observed the massive rainfall, while thinking about what to do next. His OFR explosions will be less prone for something to see it now that it's raining but to an extent.
"My original plan was to attract other people towards me with by causing explosions in the air... And well.... you came along...."

He finished his fruitless search for his lighter with a sigh. What kind of twisted luck would leave him with a pocket of cigarettes and no way to light them? Frowning solemnly he continued on his way until...
"You! What the heck are you doing in my dream?!”
He raised an eyebrow. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips, splitting into a wry grin.
"You tell me. Why would I be in your dream?" He asked. "The two of us on a lonely beach..." He affected a nonchalant shrug of naivety and turned to look across the seascape. "I tell you, it looks incriminating." He chuckled.

The starry eyes of Misaki Shoukhou were flitting about this way and that, even as her school loafers quietly padded along the forest floor of the strange jungle she had suddenly found herself in. About one hour ago - maybe two - she had been torn from her teatime to being terrorized by a... Well, some creature that's name starts with a "T". A giant toad. Yeah, that works.
She had wondered if the entire scene change was not an illusion of some kind, but the hungry look in the toad's eyes had been real enough to send her scurrying. Especially after the beast's tongue lashed out and helped it devour an innocent baby hedgehog. Misaki had slowed her pace to a calm, dignified walk after about twenty minutes of running. That was all it took to leave her out of breath and tired, a light layer of sweat already forming on her forehead and within her ample bosom. She pulled lazily with one gloved finger at the neck of her Tokiwadai vest, and sighed to herself. She wasn't so much frustrated as scared and tired, and she hadn't seen a friendly face for the entire time she had been in this god forsaken forest.
Crack
Then, a rauckous ruckus crashed down from above. The sudden, noisy "thud" drew her gaze. It brought her to a sudden halt, just as her foot came down on a poor, innocent branch whose youthful life was taken so callously underfoot the out-of-place beauty.
"Good evening to you, madam," The strange stranger began, jumping to his feet as if nothing had happened... like a cat, in Misaki's opinion.
"How are you this fine day, on this mysterious island that is so clearly not Academy City? I am Kerri McKinley!"
He seemed enthused to meet her, though perhaps his situation was...similar, to her own? Upon being asked for her own name, Misaki gave a small smile to the young man. She stood up straight, folded her hands in her lap, and then inclined her head politely while closing her eyes. Every movement, graceful. Every gesture, refined.
"My name is Shokuhou, Misaki. It is a pleasure to meet you, McKinrey-san~"

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
"You tell me. Why would I be in your dream?”
“?!”
Mikoto’s mouth fell open as her question backfired.
“The two of us on a lonely beach... I tell you, it looks incriminating."
Guy chuckled, and Mikoto felt heat rapidly spread across her cheeks as his suggestive words rang in her ears mockingly. She realised that if this entire situation was really happening within her subconscious, then it had been her who had conjured up this unbelievably realistic image of him. She knew a lot of people… It could have been anyone! So why of all people did her mind suddenly decide to have that idiot in this ridiculous dream?
A memory suddenly filled her mind.
“Misaka-san, look on this page! It says here that if you dream about someone that means you-“
“!!!”
Mikoto’s entire face turned beetroot red, and she shook her head wildly to chase out Saten Ruiko’s excited voice from her swirling thoughts.
‘W-why am I even thinking about that-?! Gaah, this is so stupid!’
Embarrassment visibly steaming out of her figure, Mikoto rounded on Guy again with furious eyes sparking dangerously above her still-rosy cheeks.
“Just shut up!” She growled viciously, “I don’t know what you’re doing here, but this is MY dream, got that?! So you better-“
Mikoto suddenly stopped, halted by an abrupt realisation. For a moment, she stood blinking blankly at him. Then as her line of thought developed, a sly, cat-like smile slowly curved her lips.
“Heh~” She tilted her head to the side as she regarded Guy with an amused glint in her eyes. “I never got to pay you back properly for all the times you mocked and embarrassed me in class, did I? That’s a shame, don’t you think?”
She took a step forward, looking progressively happier by the second.
“Since this is just a dream… That means I can go all out without holding back,” the girl declared cheerfully, “It’s not like you can die in a dream, right?”
Her crafty smile grew into a rather sadistic grin, exposing her small canines. A brilliant spark of electricity burst forth from the electromaster’s bangs as if in anticipation, sizzling in the salty air like mini-fireworks.
Oh, this was definitely going to be a good dream now…

His smirk only grew wider as the girl worked herself up into a frenzy over his words. It really was too easy...
“Heh~ I never got to pay you back properly for all the times you mocked and embarrassed me in class, did I? That’s a shame, don’t you think?”
Uh oh...
Guy's smile faded slowly with slow dawning realisation.
That didn't sound good.
The grin on Mikoto's face was hardly reassuring.
“Since this is just a dream… That means I can go all out without holding back, It’s not like you can die in a dream, right?”
"Hey, wait a second now..." The young man held up his arms in supplication, as though he might be able to ward off the bolts of lightning that crackled from Mikoto's body. She didn't show any sign of stopping. In fact if he didn't know better, he'd say she wasn't even listening to him.
He felt his hair stand up on end as a crack of electricity snapped past his head.
He turned, catlike, and sprinted away from the sadistic Electromaster's gleeful pursuit as fast as his feet would carry him.
"This isn't a dream you know!" He called out behind him as another bolt bit at his heels.
It's a nightmare...

"Wouldn't it just scare them away? Airy-kun" She thought the name Solid Air sounded silly so if he was happy with being called that then she was going to atleast reduce the amount of syllables.Haragi Faye wrote:"My name's not important.... But if you really want a name... You can call me 'Solid Air'...."
"Well... that's annoying..."
"My original plan was to attract other people towards me with by causing explosions in the air... And well.... you came along...."
After she finished writing her message she smiled for a moment at Haragi before looking at the bleak sky and her smile faded.
"I wish sister was here with me" Sayuri spoke silently as she watched rain pour. She had only recently got into Academy City prior to her finding herself on some weird island.
When she arrived in Academy City her plan was to chase down her sister and be protected from people who were seeking to kill her.
She had wondered about the stranger who helped her as he didn't want to give away his name; perhaps he was trying to be mysterious or maybe he was running something like she was. It was too soon to tell and Sayuri knew she had her own problems to deal with right now.

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
As Kita was lying in the sand looking up at the sky she could hear some shouting in the distance somewhere down the beach.
"This isn't a dream you know!" A guy shouted as some girl was throwing electricity at his feet.
Kita sat up and waved over but she got no response from the couple so she stood up and yelled out. "Oi, you guys!"
The group were already heading in her direction so Kita walked over to them. As she headed towards them she thought it would be best to note to them that as she was staring at the sky she noticed that there were some storm clouds that were moving quickly in their direction.
As Kita walked over to the girl shooting lightning she sighed as she felt her clothes weighing her down; they were still soaked from having landed in the ocean earlier.
Approaching closer Kita yelled out again to the two. "Hey you two!" She noticed the Tokiwadai uniform on the girl and started her first question. "A Tokiwadai uniform? Your from Academy City too.. how did we get here?" Kita sneezed.

"Hey, wait a second now..."
With a ruthless grin, the Electromaster unleashed a furious bolt of lightning that zapped past his head as Guy turned on his heels and began to run.
“Hey! Don’t just run away, you coward!”
Mikoto began to give chase, purposefully missing and making the lightning bite at his heels just to taunt him. A gleeful smile was planted on her face, reveling in Guy’s torment.
"This isn't a dream you know!" The boy called out behind him.
“Why are you complaining?” The girl known as the Electric Princess shot back. Another bolt of lightning singed his hair as it hurtled past his head.
“I’m just giving back what your due!” Mikoto shouted after him roughly, “So come back here and take responsibility for a change!”
"Oi, you guys!"
“?!”
Distracted by the sudden yell, Mikoto looked up ahead. Somebody was waving over them and as they approached, Mikoto noted the pale-skinned girl in a school uniform.
‘Isn’t that… Haru Chugakko’s uniform?’
Haru Chugakko was a school in District 7, located just outside the school gardens. Since they were close by, Mikoto often saw their students wandering along the streets. But she personally didn’t know anyone who attended Haru Chugakko…
"Hey you two! A Tokiwadai uniform? You’re from Academy City too.. how did we get here?"
Mikoto skidded to a stop nearby as the girl let out a mighty sneeze. She noted the completely soaked clothes and wondered what had happened.
“Yeah, we are from Academy City,” Mikoto answered on Guy’s behalf, “as for how we’re all here, I have no clue.” She tossed back a strand of hair behind a shoulder.
“It’s just a dream though so who cares?” she said stubbornly, folding her arms. The Electromaster shot Guy a fierce side-glare as small, crackling sparks of electricity danced wildly along the length of her brown hair.

"I'm pretty sure that icy cold water screamed out that I'm not dreaming" Kita said throwing her hands down gesturing at her wet uniform.
"I need to dry my clothes or I'm gonna freeze to death" She said looking at Misaka. "Don't get any ideas" She glared to the guy next to her.
The wind started to pick up and looking out to sea there were dark cloud skies that really didn't look promising.
"We're gonna need to find some shelter soon" Kita turned to the forest and noticed what looked like a giant alligator creep out towards them slowly observing their movements. "Er? wow.. wildlife sure is big on this island" Kita mutters to herself as she prepares herself.

Re: [Omake 1] A Certain Mysterious Island
"Hey you two!"
He stopped in his tracks, head snapping suddenly in Kita's direction. Another pretty young girl? Dream or not, things were certainly looking up.
"A Tokiwadai uniform? Your from Academy City too.. how did we get here?"
The more he looked at the new girl the more he started to place her in his mind. At least so far. He felt as though her name was on the tip of his tongue. K- Ki-...
Nope. Gone.
He sighed in disappointment at his own failure. Still, she seemed so familiar. So why couldn't he remember? His head hurt thinking about it. Something was very strange here.
“Yeah, we are from Academy City, as for how we’re all here, I have no clue. It’s just a dream though so who cares?”
Her threatening glare was met by a turn of his head as he looked around as though paying pointedly no attention to Mikoto. Sometimes playing dumb was the best way to survive. He ruffled his hair in a forced gesture of nonchalance.
"I'm pretty sure that icy cold water screamed out that I'm not dreaming. I need to dry my clothes or I'm gonna freeze to death"
"Don't get any ideas"
"I wouldn't dream of it." He chuckled with a shake of his head and a shrug and he strayed down the beach, kicking the sand with his feet as he thought of ways to entertain himself on a desert island.
"Er? wow.. wildlife sure is big on this island"
Guy turned to see the enormous beast just as he swung his foot at a small stone lying half buried in the sand. It was a decision he would soon regret. The slow advance ceased as its head recoiled slightly from the stone. A petty injury, barely more than an irritation. But it was enough to earn the creature's anger.
