A Certain Alternate Universe Arc 2 sign ups

This thread is reserved for sign ups and discussion of the upcoming second arc of the ACAU plotline.

The plot is still being discussed and will be dependant on new members. As the site is still new we will be delaying further Canon plot arcs until more Canon character slots are filled. This is to prevent the story from moving on too far and alienating new members.

I'm not exactly sure what this sign up is for but I'm in. x3 and I could help you with plot, if you'd like. :3 My character is still just part of a character sheet right now but I still like to plan. It helps me figure out what I want to do with my character once I bring him in. This will also help me bring him in to start with. xD I still need a reason why he's evil and why he's viewed as such. I was originally thinking of having him go after Accelerator, or Aleister. I'm not sure why Aleister but it seems to me that that would get him into some kind of trouble. xD

I'll add a section in the FAQ shortly, but I'll address this here first. Arcs are going to be site wide events that everyone is free to take part in, covering the larger events in the RP's canon (The Index and SISTERS arcs for instance, which have big effects on the overall plot). These events will impact the setting in a number of ways depending on how the story plays out. Basically they should be where everyone's stories come together in some way.

The next arc will likely be an Original story, as we don't want to move on too much with the Canon plot just yet to make it easier for new players to get on board.

Oh. Okay. I just finished the Sisters Arc and it was awesome. x3 Anyway, since it's an original plot then that's a good thing, right? It means I can help out more and not have to worry about it being Canon or not. x3 I'm always available to lend a hand if you need it. :3 I'll do what I can to keep this rp moving and to lend a hand or to give out ideas if you need them. Need a random baddie? I can do that too.

For those of you who are wondering about the upcoming Main arc/event:

The plan currently is to wait until we've got a few more members. Since currently there are only a couple of players active aside from us moderators. Specifically we're hoping for people will take some of the canon characters as that'll take the pressure off of us to run them as NPCs. If this works out the second arc is likely to cover the Index arc and the arrival of magic in the city.

The current 'Unexpected Incident' side story is functioning as a filler arc in the meantime since it's open to anyone and takes place immediately after where the first arc left off. So basically for now that will be our main thread until we get a little more active.

But as always we want to include you guys in how things develop, so if you've got any ideas then post them in the OOC Chat section.

I could attempt to help you NPC some of the canon characters. :3 I'm always willing to help if you need it. I don't know how good I'll be but it might help to take some of the pressure of of you. :3

We've been discussing kicking off the next arc soon. Depending on how things go we may wait until the current threads are complete before moving into the next storyline, but we'll consider moving things on earlier.

The next arc will be the 'Magic introduction arc', which will involve the events of the Index arc/Volume 1. Naturally that means any magicians are likely to find themselves involved or affected in one way or another.

That would be great though if Vanni gets his character accepted sooner, we'd have one more person for this arc

I'll wait a bit before I place Mikoto into this Arc- I'm a little loaded in rl atm... and for some reason, it makes more sense to me if she comes in later since this is going to be majorly a magic arc (from what I've understood?)

Yeah, it'll be largely magic based, so the science side will be getting introduced to the whole concept of other powers. It's up to you guys how it plays out though.

Speaking of which, Vanni, since your character's introduced and a Necessarius member I figure they could be referring to him as one of their agents. Alternatively if you'd rather it not be for some reason then it wouldn't be hard to fit Motoharu in as their inside man.

As for the rest of you. Any ideas on how you want to bring your characters in?

Sure sounds great to me if Vanni is that agent. Do you want me to make a post of him receiving the call of having to escort two members on a mission and where to meet them at?
